A wireless digital thermometer is included with three probes to ensure the internal temperature rises above 120 degrees Fahrenheit in the items being treated. Bed bugs die at 120 degrees and above.
The ZappBug Room system includes four independent thermal heat units. Each requires a separate 120 volts, 1,500 watts circuit. Each thermal unit includes a timer that can be set and left to exterminate bed bugs, and then it will power down the heat units when the process is completed. Each unit has a safety warning light and beeper that indicates if the unit is overheating. If the warning light flashes on, remove any items blocking airflow circulation out of the thermal chamber. Allow 20 minutes for the Room to cool down, and then restart the treatment process.
