I Am Completely Thrilled!
A few days ago, the desk arrived in perfect condition. The honey finish is just lovely. This desk is all wood and very solid, well designed, finished, and well put together. Nothing tacky. No disappointment here. I am very pleased. The scale and detailing is appropriate. It was a delight to receive this desk with the computer drawer hardware already installed. Such a relief! The setup of the desk was so simple – basically attach the legs and the drawer knob – piece of cake! Moreover, I was so thankful to not see any black screws or anything thrown in that is black, which would have been utterly inconsistent with the design character. I was so impressed that I went to look for more furniture by the manufacturer, Winsome Wood, and found the matching bookcase, which I will order with complete confidence. Yes, indeed, a good purchase.

Good value for money
I think this desk is really good value for the price of $148. I had it shipped to Iqaluit, NU and given the free shipping, I consider it a really good deal. The desk is heavy and attractive, made of solid wood. I put it together myself in under an hour, following the clearly pictured instructions. The included wrench is OK but I used a proper wrench to tighten the tension grips nicely. The wood panels for the desk tray were loose but my husband tightened those for me and then the tray fit perfectly, sliding in and out with ease. The screw for the knob is a little short, I replaced it with a longer one which tightened the knob in place perfectly. The desk came with instructions for care – wood polish, no glass cleaner – which is what I would have used, actually – so I appreciated that. Desk looks pricier than it is. Nice. Thanks.

Great Desk
Bought this, the corner table and the filing cabinet. Very easy to assemble and looks great! Hard wood so very sturdy. I use the keyboard tray to store my laptops and mouse so they donât have to stay on the desk. Love it!

Great table but quality control lacking
Good solid table. Had to saw 1/2 cm off underside to fit one of the legs properly. Laminate on tray starting to lift. Otherwise colour and dimensions right on and hardware sturdy.

Finish as expected. Keyboard tray continues to fall off rail.
The finish & colour was what I expected. However, I was extremely disappointed with the following:1. The box of accessories (screws, bolts, and washers) was crushed in the packaging which meant they were all scattered throughout and nestled into the creases of the cardboard box. I spent an e significant amount of time opening, removing the packaging and account for each piece.2. The keyboard tray is poorly designed and continues to fall off the railing, when completely retracted, not to mention is now scratching the wood surface.3. Holes were re-drilled into the door to align with the bracket.I was, however, pleasantly surprised that the assembly was much easier than what I expected, except now that I need to find a solution to the tray which keeps falling off the rails.

I had gotten a Stone and Beam desk which costs much more and is about the same size and it was a ginormous pain to assemble… and it didn’t look nearly as good and was not nearly as sturdy — either painted all white or all black. This was a piece of cake to assemble — it was extremely well packed so not a scratch on it.– Screw on the legs. (use your own socket wrench and it will be much much easier!)– Unscrew the keyboard tray (you’ll need your own Phillips head screwdriver)– Screw on the knob of the keyboard tray cover– Slide in the keyboard trayI love the natural wood finish — it matches a traditional decor but has nice clean lines so if you have a more modern look, it will still work. If you get tired of the wood finish, you could easily use chalk paint and make this into a shabby chic distressed look.It is very solid when you stand it up — no wobble at all. This is perfect for a home office workspace — for kids or adults. It is small enough to fit into compact spaces but large enough to provide a good sized work surface. It would easily support dual monitors or one large monitor (if you have an all-in-one) desktop/gaming PC.I’m very happy and can’t recommend this enough![LCAR]

We received this table last night and had it assembled and put into use in about 20 minutes. Here is a quick summary of our findings:POSITIVE- Despite what some other reviews indicated, the packaging was excellent and the table arrived without any damage. The corners were protected by wooden blocks and there was enough styrofoam and plastic sheeting to protect the exposed surfaces properly.- The table was very easy to put together – Just two nuts per leg using the included spanner. Note you will need to provide your own Philips-head screwdriver to install the knob on the keyboard tray cover door.- The assembled table is tight and stable – no squeaks or ill-fitting parts (except for a few things listed below)- The assembled table looks great and generally the finish is good – excellent value!NO-SO-POSITIVE- While the tabletop was generally ok, I noticed there were several areas where wood filler was used to fill out blemishes that might have been in the wood to begin with or added during the manufacturing process. I don’t mind the occasional spot of filler, but in this case at least 5% of the surface was filler and that too in a mis-matched color so it stood out. More attention could have been paid to minimizing the need for filler or at least using one that works with overall grain. I should point out that once you have your monitor and other stuff on your table-top, the fillers don’t stand out as much.- More attention could have been paid to the finish of surfaces not visible on the outside – for instance the drilled holes underneath had all kinds of burrs and chips that could have been sanded away very easily. There were also a few splinters along the bottom edges that you’ll have to watch out for when you assemble the table.- The keyboard tray could have been put together with a little more attention to detail – the track is a little mismatched, so the tray is wobbly when it is all the way in. So while it works fine when it is all the way out, it takes a little extra effort to pull it out initially.I would have been happy to pay an extra $20 to have these blemishes sanded/filed away – just putting that out there in case the manufacturer is listening.Overall I’d highly recommend this as a no-fuss computer table as long as the dimensions (height) work for you. We use it for a 27″ Apple LED monitor as well as a few books and things and it works well and looks great.

I needed a table at exactly 42″ to work as an extension of my big dining room table, and this one fits the bill perfectly. It was a breeze to put together. I liked it so much that I added a second, and am considering a third. There were a couple of minor flaws but I was able to work around them easily enough, and given the general great quality and ease, I’m leaving the full stars in my rating

This is a gorgeous piece of furniture. The desk is much smaller than I would like, so I bought two of them and I am using them back to back. That works pretty well, and the price for two is still pretty reasonable. The desk comes nearly completely assembled. All you have to do is to screw on the legs using the bolts and wrench provided. If you have a ratchet socket wrench, the assembly will go a bit easier. It took me about 20 minutes to put together. The result is very sturdy. The finish is beautiful, a golden honey color. First class. It’s made of hardwood, with multiple lengths of wood securely glued together — sort of like a butcher block. There are some visible joins in these lengths of wood — if you’re not too picky about this, it’s just fine. Likewise, there are some joins in some of the legs. Both desks I ordered had joins in two of the legs, and no joins in the other two. So I put the better legs on the front. But I don’t want to give you the idea that these joins are very bad, and they don’t affect the strength of the desk. The desk when it’s all assembled is really very nice. The keyboard drawer is much higher quality than I expected. It’s also very nice, and at just the right height. There’s a moderate odor coming from the finish when first unpacked, but this has dissipated after a day. All in all, I couldn’t be happier, and I would rate this 6 stars if that were possible.

The build quality and design is not high enough that you might mistake it for handmade, and the keyboard tray has a piece on the front jutting out above the surface of the tray making it unusable, but it fits my needs exactly and well beyond my expectation for such an inexpensive piece of furniture.Often when buying furniture, you have to choose between a flimsy thing held together with wood screws into end grain, made with wood so low quality that half the screws strip out when you assemble it, and some over-100lb hunk of wood that takes 2 or more people to move and cannot be disassembled as it is held together entirely by wood glue. This piece strikes a perfect compromise, as it uses quality wood, has a nice low gloss satin lacquer finish, and uses strong and easy to disassemble fasteners(hardened bolts and threaded metal inserts attaching the legs), while being light enough for one person to move. I was able to get it up 4 flights of stairs quite easily on my own in two trips, one for the top and one for the legs+keyboard tray. The top is only maybe 35lbs and the legs are maybe 20lbs combined at most.Personally, the only things that could be improved would be if the top were deeper, at least 30″, and if the keyboard tray were replaced with either something sturdier and more useful to keep a mouse and keyboard on, or just with a drawer. I have to use the top for my keyboard and mouse but it’s just barely deep enough to do that and support my wrists. You might be able to mount your monitor to the back of it instead to allow for use of the entire top, which would probably be the ideal use case. The back of the top is about 1″ thick and plenty sturdy for mounting a monitor. The lip around the edge of the top isn’t deep enough(~1.625″) for a monitor mount though, so make sure you get one that can screw straight into the back panel with enough space from the arm to account for the lip if you want to do that.
