Winsome Wood 42-Inch Round Drop Leaf Table

BETTER THAN IT LOOKS IN PHOTO — BEST TABLE I’VE OWNED.
This table is even prettier in real life than in the photo. It appears to have a lightly varnished surface on it, so I am leaving it as is, and will not paint or stain it. The description of the product said it is “fully assembled” but that’s not quite accurate. It is partly assembled, and is VERY EASY to put together. The legs part comes assembled, and the table top with drop-leaves is assembled. All you need to do to assemble is use the four long bolts to drop into the holes in the legs part to fit into the holes underneath the table top, and use the little Allan wrenching key (also provided) to screw these in. You also need to screw on the four leg height adjuster bolts into the bottom of each leg. I did the whole thing in about 5 minutes, and I am legally blind and a senior, so if I can do it, I think most others could do it with no trouble at all. With the leaves folded down, this table is unbelievably narrow, and can store flat up against a wall, a window, or shelves, out of the way in a small space. My apartment is very tiny, so this is fabulously ideal for me. I will have no trouble at all fitting four chairs around it when I have company, and I think it would even take five chairs sitting around it, if I had that many guests. I bought four wooden folding chairs from another site to go with it (shopping channel) and I am delighted with this combination. All in all, I would highly recommend the purchase of this well-made, solid wood, versatile table. I’m totally thrilled with it. EXTREMELY GOOD VALUE — PRICE IS FANTASTIC.

Wrong colour, Amazon
I like the fact that this table is solid wood – a rarity in this low-quality world. I also like the drop-leaf feature, which I will certainly find usefull over the life of the product. The build, however is not great, with the “X” where braces meet under the table not in line, and the surface planks meeting in a zigzag joint.Most of all, the colour is a light gold – not at all like the deeper tone in the picture. It gives the piece a lower quality look. I’ll just use a tablecloth when I have guests.

Je suis trop contente de ma nouvelle table,je vais m’en servir beaucoup dans le temps des fêtes pour recevoir ma famille,j’ai plusieurs petits enfants,je vais leur préparer une belle table avec décoration de Noël et leurs mets préférés,je suis plus que satisfaite,j’ai une belle table avec du beau bois naturelle,je la recommande à tout le monde.

Safety risk
The table is a bit wobbely. When the leafs are down the table seems to be top heavy which is a safety risk if someone ( or a child) bumps it.

Nice, solid table! Easiest box furniture to assemble. It’s literally just screwing in 4 screws with an Allen wrench, screwing in the stoppers, and it’s all done. Only problem was the FedEx nightmare in receiving it. But overall, it’s worth it.

I needed a 42″ round dining table for my small dining area and I searched for over a year and didn’t find anything reasonably priced. I saw this double-drop leaf table during one of my insomniac Amazon travels and thought for the price it was worth the try – at least in the interim! All wood, right size, great price, and I really liked the simple shape/style (most gate leg tables are pretty ornate).The first and second table I got came badly dented but Amazon was fantastic and made the returns super easy and shipped the next table with Fedex and this time it arrived unharmed.The leafs don’t line up perfectly*, and you can see the wood finger joints, and the folding brackets are exposed across the legs — but for the price I don’t care. BUT as others have mentioned the legs do need something to keep them in place – this is partly a design flaw (which most gate leg drop leaf tables seem to have) and partly due to the crappy furniture leg feet/pads they provide. If you have this table on a rug the issue might not be as bad but on hardwood floors it’s downright dangerous. The whole table/legs can slide and leafs can drop with just a gentle push! I knew rubber feet were the answer. So here’s my fix: This table requires M6 Adjustable Thread Screw On Leveling Feet. So I bought some uxcell M6 16mm Male Thread Rubber Vibration Isolator Mounts.Now the table and the gate legs do not even budge. The tabletop still wiggles a little when I try shaking it… or when I’m cutting a steak. But for under $100 this table might stick around for far longer than I first gave it credit for.

I needed a table that would fold up fairly slim and this one works, it is a great little table. Fairly sturdy for what it is. Super easy to put together just 4 screws & 4 foot pads. A little awkward getting it upright by myself because of the weight of the table, but very doable. And best of all it matched my existing chairs almost perfectly, like they were made to go together!!!!!
