Solid piece of furniture, not like a big box store DIY.
I ordered this to use a dresser because I love to think outside the box. And I needed a new dresser. I expected it to be light-ish weight and flimsy and like a big box store piece of DIY furniture. But this cabinet has substance. It’s heavy, it’s solid, it’s well built (even with the DIY) and it’s a quality item.
With or without the box, this is a 2 person lift. It comes with detailed instructions but because it’s a large substantial piece of furniture, assembly ended up taking about half a day. Several hours at least. The assembly was actually impressive because of all the small details that they put into it from the slots to hold the back pieces to the little fillers to hold everything in place.
Once it’s together it’s beautiful. It’s large and solid. It has ample room for whatever you want to put in it and I love the slow close doors. I think it’s gorgeous and it’s working well as a dresser since I like to keep things in baskets for the most part.
Now, I do have one concern and I did dock a star for it. The electrical outlets are flat on the top of the main section and if you’re using this as a coffee bar, the intended purpose, you’re looking at potential spills. Since liquid and electrical don’t mix that did cause me pause. I think, if I were to use it as a coffee bar I would just not use those outlets. For other purposes where no liquid is involved, no issues.
Overall, this is a beautiful piece of furniture and if you make the investment I don’t think you’d regret it. It’s big, it’s beautiful, it’s solid and it’s versatile. As I’m sure the reviews will show, it’s not just a coffee cabinet – it’s only limit is your imagination.
