The Nomi High Chair is designed for children approximately 6-24 months. Nomi is the next generation high chair that seamlessly adjusts without tools, and evolves with children’s changing needs from birth with the Nomi Baby all the way through the teenage years as the Nomi Chair! Scandinavian design by world renowned seating expert – Peter Opsvik, who spent his entire career studying what he calls ‘active sitting’. His philosophy is that children need a stable platform for their feet from which to move – so the child will sit actively and varied – but stay seated. In 1972, Peter designed the iconic Tripp Trapp Chair for his son, which brought the child up to the table, and the floor up to the child with an adjustable footrest. Fast forward to 2013 when Peter’s first granddaughter was born, and based on his 40 years of seating design experience, he knew he could do better. The result, the Nomi Concept. Nomi is the evolution of the original concept, utilizing more modern materials and technology, resulting in a sleeker design, making daily use even simpler. Nomi easily transforms from a raised bouncer for your newborn—to a high chair—to a chair, so your child is positioned in the most comfortable & ergoNOMIc position from newborn all the way to adulthood, holding up to 330 lbs. Unlike traditional high chairs that cannot be used until your baby can sit up on their own, Nomi allows you to bring your newborn up to the table with the addition of the Nomi Baby raised bouncer attachment. The Nomi High Chair is EASY TO CLEAN which is one of the top requirements for parents when looking for a high chair! Its sleek design doesn’t trap food and Nomi is lightweight which makes cleaning a breeze—you can even hang it on the table edge to clean underneath. When sitting in either a booster seat or an adult chair with dangling feet, children get fidgety and uncomfortable, making it hard for them to focus on their meal. The Nomi Chair brings your child up to the table and the floor up to their feet, so they are always comfortable, like you are in a regular adult-sized chair. Not just for meals—perfect for all activities, homework, crafts, coloring, games, or just spending time with family. Manufactured in Europe with environmentally responsible components. Seamless adjustment of the seat and footrest with no tools required. Available in 28 combinations to fit any décor–4 wooden stem options and 7 chair color variations. We believe family meal time is special; conversation, socialization, and special moments all occur around the dining table. With Nomi, everyone is included, even the youngest family members!

FUELING DEVELOPMENT – The rounded, organic contours create a comfortable, modern high chair with unrestricted movement—which is excellent for toddler’s development as they explore, taste & interact at the family table.
FLAWLESSLY FLEXIBLE – Thanks to its seamless, tool-free adjustability and light weight, this high chair is easy to use throughout the house. In fact, it’s so light, you can hang it on the edge of your table for cleanup after meals.
UNIQUE DESIGN – Peter Opsvik designed the Nomi High Chair based on the understanding that children find it easier to concentrate on activities at the table when the physical environment has been adapted to their size & needs.
LASTS A LIFETIME – Simply remove the Baby Set to transform the High Chair into the Nomi Chair. With a strong, sturdy wooden stem that holds up to 330 lbs, it can support your child all the way into adulthood.
DESIGN WITH A PURPOSE – Stokke entered the children’s furniture & accessories sector in 1972, and since then, all our products have been designed to challenge the ordinary, foster healthy development, and nurture family bonding.

Iâm from Europe and lots of people over there have the Tripp Trapp high chair, I actually grew up using one 30 years ago and it still looks exactly the same! So when I got pregnant my first thought was to get a Tripp Trapp. Well, that was before a friend of mine told me about Nomi. Itâs designed by the same seating designer but itâs new and improved. I love that you can adjust the foot rest and seat to any height without any toolsâmakes it so much easier than having to get out tools to loosen up 6-8 screws to adjust a Tripp Trapp! And itâs surprisingly lightweightâthe Tripp Trapp is really heavy and bulky. I also love that you can just wipe the Nomi clean–there are no crevices that trap food. I was an au pair for a family that had a Tripp Trapp and I remember it was a pain in the butt to clean. The open design on Nomi and the waterfall edges are a big improvement in comfort and support for proper seating for my baby. I also used the Nomi Baby attachment for the first 6 months and it was perfect to have the baby right up at the table with us, so much better and nicer than a bouncer on the floor. Hahaâ¦I just went on and on but obviously I just love Nomi and so glad this was created at the perfect time for me having children!

This has been an amazing high chair. Itâs super easy to clean with BLW messes and itâs very sturdy! It doesnât stain ( though I wouldnât Recommended letting stain prone foods/liquids just sit for hours). And itâs super easy to put together. My one warning is to not try and take off warning labels (mine started to peel when I first got it and I tired Taking the rest off. Not happening.. Iâm not sure what kind of magic adhesive they used but itâs not coming off (also cancels the warranty) my ONLY Problem is that nothing suctions to the tray! After a year of trying so many different suction products the one and only thing that kinda works are EZPZ products other than that itâs not sticking.

This chair is so easy to clean and baby is very happy eating in it. We have a different chair from an older child but switched to this and everyone is happier. Baby will sit and eat for longer and is positioned properly (leaning forward, feet on foot rest). It has a wide footprint to keep it sturdy but it is very low-profile and doesnât add a lot of visual clutter like other high chairs. I do not have a tray and havenât missed it yet.

The nomi works well for my son and it seems comfortable for him to use. I find it very easy to clean and move. Overall we have really enjoyed the nomi. Unfortunately it looks as if it is either poorly made or defective. He has been using the chair for about six months. The wooden back piece is made of layers and it appears that those layers are separating and peeling off. Really crappy outcome for a high chair that costs hundreds of dollars. Don’t waste your money on this.
