To my surprise when I opened the package I noticed several missing hardware and I was not able to continue with the assembly process. Still waiting for Sauder reply.

This was the type of headboard I was looking for. Once assembled it is pretty sturdy. Not too hard to assemble (it took about 30 minutes to assemble) it fits onto my bed frame pretty well. All of the hardware needed was included

Product was exceptionally well packaged inside a highly sturdy (and heavy – 58.4 pounds for the queen size headboard) cardboard box which was in turn shrink-wrapped using industrial strength plastic film. There were essentially zero chances for shipping damages, and it’s weather-proof.Logical assembly steps and excellent, easy-to-follow instructions. Slowed by frequent pauses due to back pains and tight work space, I completed the assembly in about 3 hours.The assembled headboard looks quite nice and appears to be sturdy enough to stand on its own between a bed and a wall.With relative ease, my son-in-law attached a 16 inch Zinus bed frame (with mounting brackets that were purchased separately) to the headboard using bolts and nuts that came with the headboard.We were all very satisfied with the final result. Would highly recommend Sauder products to folks looking for practical, cost-effective furnitures.

Hey Sauder – Any chance I can get a strip of edge laminate from you? I done goofed up. :-)Directions were pretty clear, everything went together pretty well!! I am careful – perhaps TOO careful – following the steps and at one point, I kind of over-thought things… reversed a part, then reversed it again, then re-reversed it, and in the process…… I didn’t realize I had in fact placed it backwards. So I have one raw exposed edge. The instructions were perfectly find, it was just a momentary goof that – unfortunately – I didn’t notice until I had ENTIRELY finished the rest of assembly. ARGH.Great headboard – I am a CPAP user and I hate having the machine way off to the side, on a bedside table – I bought this so that I could have my CPAP unit directly overhead, in an easy to reach location. Great storage, very sturdy, I’m very happy with Sauder’s line of products in their Mystic Oak finish.
