Beautiful & Strong
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It took less then an hour to put together, and the instructions were spot on (even included some well placed humor). To my surprise, the box even had wood glue for the dowels. The piece itself is HEAVY and very sturdy. It hold tons of books and the bins on the bottom has room for a huge amount of toys.I was a bit hesitant to purchase because of the price, however, I would do it again. A Great Buy!

Love it
First time I’ve ever taken the time for a review. I was so impressed with this product! The board for the backing already has nail holes in it. So you can actually see what youre nailing into. The nail head have a white top, so even though it’s the back of the shelf it’s looks good. The hardware came in a bag with pockets that are perferated so they become pockets and you don’t have bits everywhere, also each hardware pocket was labelled. The directions even told you which way to turn the locknuts. I was ridiculously impressed with quality for money, the easyness and design care that went into this.

Looks great
This was pretty much what I was looking for, needed something that was still furniture, that I could put something on top of, but that could contain all my little guys toys, this does the job nicely. Was a little tricky to put together, probably best with two people. The back is really thin, and because it comes folded, didn’t want to lay flat so I can see a few little gaps even after it was nailed down with ALL the nails. But otherwise its a good product.

Love it!
This is such a great bookshelf/toy box. I had a regular toy box and it seemed that the kids couldn’t even see, or get at the toys on the bottom. This holds the exact same amount of toys, but separates them into 2 areas which not only makes it easier for access but also allows for better organization. The design of the bottom storage makes it so easy for the kids to see and get at their so many more of their toys without having to empty out the entire box.We put this in our living room in our “kid corner” and it makes it feel clean, organized but still kid friendly.I like this unit so much I’m going to order another for another “Kid corner” in our house!

Irma what I needed but at too high a cost
I got this to contain the overflow of toys that my 18 month old insists on bringing into the living room. I didnât want anything too big but I did want it to be presentable. This fit both of my needs. Itâs sturdy and bigger than I expected based on some of the other reviews. My only complaint is the costâ if stores were open right now I would have bought something else at a better price. Itâs nice but it isnât worth the price I paid at all.

Needs after market anchors
Iâm not the biggest fan of build it yourself veneer products but Iâm quite happy with this purchase for our daughter. Took me about 35 minutes to put it together from start to finish, would probably take an hour for other people, my husband included. I did use the glue for all the joints and seems to increase the Durability of the product. It seems quite stable but itâs hard to find a spot anchor it to the wall without putting holes into the shelf or side panels using Angle brackets, the backing is cardboard, either way I will be doing so because toddlers be crazy! Would definitely buy again great for book and toy storage.

Bigger than expected!
Definitely a great buy! It fits all those toys that didn’t fit in shallow bins or on other shelves and keeps them off the floor. Fairly simple to assemble and heavy and sturdy.

Beautiful and sturdy
I used this to store my daughter’s toys in the family room. It’s nice and heavy so I don’t worry about it toppling over. It stores enough of her toys although she still has too many lol It’s a pain in the butt to put together but worth the effort.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’m really impressed by these bins/bookshelves. We bought 2 of them in the salt oak finish to use for toy storage in our kids’ playroom. I knew I was buying particle-board-constructed units at an affordable price (I just couldn’t justify paying for solid wood knowing that these things were going to be put to the test by toddlers), but these have exceeded my expectations.First of all, they look lovely & fit in well with the rest of the decor in our house. We’re using them for toy storage now, but I foresee them going into our kids’ rooms as they get older for their own personal storage.Secondly, they are super sturdy. I was a little worried about our kids climbing in them or pulling up on them. That worry is gone. They are heavy, sturdy, and solid. I think they’re going to hold up just fine to the wear and tear of small children (we’ve had them about 2mo now).We got 2, because all of the playroom toys we have now definitely would have filled up 1 unit, and I know we’re just going to accumulate more toys as our kids grow. They’re the perfect size & orientation to allow for toddlers to search for their toys on their own, and the price is amazing for the quality. My husband and I put the first one together, but I did the second one by myself. It’s pretty easy. The only part of the process where it’s helpful to have 2 people is when you put the 2nd side on. You start by attaching 1 side to the back pieces and the front pieces, then you put the other side on. Lining up everything is definitely more challenging when you do it alone, but it’s certainly not impossible. So moral of the story is, I would highly recommend this unit, especially as a toy storage solution!

I bought two of these in Soft White to replace some open-backed bookshelves from the local blue and yellow store. We had those old shelves since before we were married, and now that our daughter is 3, it was clear that they were really not working for our child’s toy and book storage. It really became obvious when I saw the finished product after putting these Sauder units together. They look so sharp and classy, where the old shelves were sloppy and overstuffed. These shelves hold plenty of stuffed animals in the bins, and tons of books on each shelf and don’t look like a hot mess toy explosion. They even have a place to hold a label if you have 2 kids and want to keep their toys separated. We have one in the play room and one in her bedroom. Our little one has a lot of stuffed animals and play kitchen stuff, but these shelves hold it all easily, without looking crowded.I put together each unit in about an hour while I streamed a tv show I was pretty interested in. So I wasn’t paying 100% attention to building the unit during that hour. But the instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to easily put them together alone during my kid’s nap, while my wife took a relaxing bath and ate bon bons (just kidding, she was cleaning the house). The most labor intensive part was putting the nails in on the back portion, and that’s just because there were a lot of nails and not a lot of room for error. These units are made of “engineered wood,” but they feel pretty solid and do not feel rickety at all, unlike some of those blue and yellow shelves, which are just as if not more expensive than this, and these are delivered to your door. I’m very happy with these units because they are sturdy, and the assembly process did not make me want to declare war on Sweden.

Purchased this bookcase for my sons toys. I love the ample storage it provides. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy. Highly recommend this product!

I got the salt oak harbor view bin to be used as a fancy toy box for my dogs, with the bonus use of a behind-the-sofa table. It looks every bit as upscale as their cover photo. Great finishâno peeling or dings. Itâs brown in color, but not an ugly brown. The pieces are very heavy: much more sturdy than a Walmart or IKEA storage unit. It is about as challenging to assemble as an IKEA piece, though. The instructions are clearâjust a lot of steps. I am really impressed with it considering the price!
