It’s solid and very elegant
This is a floating tv stand of very good quality. It was well packaged and delivered quickly. Assembling it was easy and at the end I got a very solid piece of furniture. Hanging it on the wall was easy. I’d recommend you use a real spirit level as the one that was included was not well calibrated.It’s a tv stand that is elegant and enhances the look of the room above my expectations.

We have another TV stand made by the same company already which has worked out well for us and I found this one to be pretty much exactly the same experience quality wise etc. only this one is bigger and the design is a bit more detailed. Overall, that’s a good thing. It goes together easy enough if you’ve ever assembled anything from that other big flat pack furniture maker with the meatballs it uses pretty much all the same methods of joining pieces together, some common sense goes a long way here but I think anybody can figure it out.My experience with inexpensive flat pack furniture is usually made of cheap laminated particle board but this is made out of a thick laminated bonded plywood and is way sturdier as a result. I don’t care much for the colour of the finish on this any more than I did for the other piece, but it grows on you.The same things I’m not big on with the smaller unit I’m also not big on with this one. First that the rear of the unit isn’t completely enclosed – you can’t tell when the door is closed so it’s not a huge deal but it still bugs me. Mounting this by yourself will be… hard, get some help… not really a downside more like a PSA. If you like the design, I think you’ll be satisfied with what you get for what you’re paying. You can easily pay hundreds more for something that in the end isn’t made as well as this.

Unique and Works Well in the Right Setting.
I generally like this unique stand a lot, but I do have some mixed feelings about it…First off, it is pretty substantial weighing just over 80lbs!.. so a proper installation is critical to keep this from falling. You really need to ensure that you are fastening this directly to inwall studs. The board pieces themselves are sturdy and covered in a clean looking and durable melamine type finish. While ‘style’ is a completely subjective thing, in my opionion this looks quite nice in a contemporary setting and adds a nice design aspect to your room with the free-floating look.I opted for the 55inch version and paired it with a recently acquired Flat Panel TV in a Rec Room setup. Now here is where my mixed feelings come in… This is free-floating style shelf unit so it cannot be too deep. The unit is very wide, but in terms of useable depth, you will not have much to work with. (just over 8 inches). Therefore with the exception of a few smaller media players, game consoles or newer narrow depth bluray players you will not be able to get and large pieces of Audio/Video gear or Amplifiers into the nooks. So, keep that in mind.I think this actually makes a good platform for a soundbar type audio system, or a Bose Smart Soundbar as an example. The shelf would also handle a good variety of box type center channel speakers. Again, just plan accordingly if you need specific gear to work with this shelf. Check the measurements diagram in the listing pictures carefully.Overall, I do like this floating wall shelf. It is large in scale, durable and sturdy (when PROPERLY installed by directly securing to wall studs). It looks quite attractive in the right complementary decor and it does provide a good base for soundbar type speakers, most game consoles and misc. media players. The price is getting up there at a current listing of $309.00, but it is a unique look and style. I am giving this a solid 4 out of 5 rating and I think this is worthy of being on your possible list of considerations if you are looking for something along these lines.
