The quality is so poor that I doubt it will stand up to years …
It came packaged well…or so I thought. When I opened up the box one of the metal rods, for hanging file folders, had rolled onto the front the drawer leaving a huge black scuff. I have tried to remove it but eventually I gave up. The quality is so poor that I doubt it will stand up to years of use but it is doing its job for now.

broke quickly
We only had this item for 2 months and it broke. The filing cabinet is mostly for storing items not used on a regular basis, so the drawers were only opened a couple of times.Until the drawer broke we were happy, easy to put together and looks nice.

Mediocre quality, not easy to install, one screw didn’t fit which resulted in damage.
Using it not, but would not order again/recommend. One screw was too long that resulted in damage. The hanging folder bar is too weak and bends thus files fall out.

Tough and Functional!
I do not understand why people are saying bad things about this filing cabinet! I am using them as display units in a busy store. They get opened and closed often, they have been slammed, reefed open by kids, climbed on, and very recently took a full contact hit from a scooter: Hard enough to push 2 units over a foot, and not a mark left on them! I found them easy to assemble. I did use wood glue on the dowels, and recommend that for any assembly of these types of products. I will be ordering more in the future.

Mauvaise qualité
Assemblage facile, mais très mauvaise qualité des matériaux et erreur de pièces. Jâai reçu deux fois la même pièce! Lors de lâassemblage, certains morceaux se sont fissurés.

I love this piece of furniture! I purchased two of the Arobas 600303 3-Drawer Filing cabinets to put side by side to form a credenza about a year ago, and they have held up very well. I put a heavy load of files in the bottom drawers, and one has bowed a small amount. The drawers come with metal rods to attach hanging file folders on, so I am purchasing hanging file folders to put the files in to take the weight off the bottom of the drawers. They are very sturdy, easy to put together (I have assembled several pieces of furniture though, and it would be a plus if you have someone help you), and look extremely nice. If would purchase this item again if needed.

I am quite pleased with this lateral cabinet. Just what I needed.. drawer space as well as a good file drawer. It is sturdy, and all three drawers work beautifully. As the reviews stated, there is assembly involved. My husband and I assembled this unit without hiccups in about 2 hours. It fit together perfectly, using up the exact amount of hardware. I knew from reading the reviews that this was a task, so was ready to tackle it. It must be computer cut to make it fit together this well. One issue we had: when screwing in the metal drawer runner on the underside of the top drawer, the screw goes right into the particle board ‘meat’. In one instance, the particle board split open. I repaired the split ( glued and clamped it), and we drilled a new hole in the drawer slide to find ‘fresh meat’ to screw into. Not a big deal. For some reason, in this case, there were no pre-drilled holes to use. It didn’t slow us down much, but thought you might want to know.

Took a while to put together but the instructions were pretty good (except that they did not make it clear how to mount the drawer slides on the bottom of the top two drawers.

I bought this because I was specifically looking for a file cabinet of this design with three drawers of which the bottom draw will hold either legal or regular size files. it was the only option I could find. Here are the pros & cons:* the draw style is unique and suits the purpose of being able to remove office clutter & store file* the black style finish gives a contemporary look* when assemble all parts where included ( many mfgs mess this up and have poor inspection off the line)* at $230 dollars it is an okay valueCons:* the assembly is a project for even the most accomplished DIY person – I consdier myself quite capable in the department and it took me 2 1/2 hours. DO NOT BUY This file if you have never assembled a piece of furniture unless you pay the assembly fee* with 2 girls through college I have assembled my fare share of IKEA furniture. The quality of this piece is less than IKEA* the draw sliders, particularly the bottom ones are not very substantialAll this said, I don’t regret buying the piece. It looks nice, was the size and draw configuration I wanted, and it does the bought it for. It will do while I look for this style draw configuration in a high quality unit. However I am certain I will need to pay twice as much to get the quality I will look for.

I was nervous about purchasing this product because I have a lot of experience with prefab furniture, and I know it can be a nightmare. This cabinet is a solid value. It’s reasonably priced and does the job well. I had a problem with attaching the glides for the lower drawer; the drawing is a little unclear, but common sense prevailed, and I was able to figure out the correct alignment. It helps that there are videos online illustrating all the common assembly steps for their products. It was actually fun to assemble, until I made a huge goof as I was putting the drawers into the fully assembled cabinet: I held the file drawer at an angle, not realizing that the glides weren’t aligned correctly. It’s an easy mistake to make, as the bottom drawer is bulky and awkward to position (be careful when doing this step!) I compounded my error by attempting to use force. I knew I’d made a huge mistake when I heard a cascade of ball bearings shoot out of the glides on both sides. I was fully prepared to pay for a replacement part when I called the company in Montreal. The woman on the phone offered to send a replacement, and the NEXT DAY I received a Fedex shipment with a new set, FOR FREE. I’ve had the cabinet for a few weeks now. It seems sufficiently sturdy, and the drawers all glide smoothly. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants a functional, reasonably priced piece of furniture, and who is competent at this kind of prefab assembly. I have one concern about the product. The parts that attach the top to the sides function a bit like drywall mollies: they expand to grip the predrilled holes. The gripping element is plastic, and I’m concerned that if I were to remove the drawer and move the cabinet by lifting from the underside of the top, the top could conceivably come off. If I move again, I’ll be careful to instruct the movers to lift from the bottom to avoid this possible weakness. However, I’m not an engineer, and it’s very possible that the top is attached with sufficient strength.
