Extremely disappointed
This mirror is exactly what I was looking for. I’ve always liked the Kohler brand and have always thought they were very high quality products. This mirror was shipped extremely fast to us and we were excited to get it up on the wall as it arrived during the last day of our bathroom renovation.We opened the box to find that the hardware to install it on the wall was missing. I contacted Amazon, who in turn contacted Kohler and said it would get to me in a week. It has now been nearly 2 weeks and I still don’t have it. I phoned Kohler today who said they don’t ship individual items out and we have to wait for the truck to be full. She expects it to be full in the next couple of days. It’s coming from Wisconsin… I live in Alberta. It’s easily going to take another week to get here. For the amount I spent on this medicine cabinet, I would expect them to expedite the missing pieces as this is their mistake. If I had known it would’ve taken this long, I would have just returned the whole thing.Update – now on week 3 of waiting and still no hardware. I got a shipping notification 11 days ago but haven’t seen anything yet. Lowered my rating to 1 star.

This is a really nice looking and very functional unit. The hinge is quiet and smooth. The interior is sufficient for most bathroom usage – really no better or worse than my cheap previous unit which this one replaces. But I do like the addition of the mirrored interior. The shelves seem substantial and are easily installed. And I like the flush and clean look of the mirror when the cabinet is closed. There is no ugly framing around the glass as most Home Depot/Lowes models tend to exhibit.My only complaint is that this unit is far too expensive for what it is. If the pricing was more inline with what I imagine to be the true cost of materials and labor needed to manufacture this item, then I think five stars would be absolutely acceptable. My brief research on the net shows that the medicine cabinet racket seems to be just that, a bit of a racket. And Kohler is making some easy money off of us.Nevertheless, seeing as how all of the quality cabinets are way overpriced, it is fair to say that this seems to be a really good one.

Despite looking *very* closely at videos, photographs, reading reviews and even going to Kohler’s website to make sure of what we were getting. Well, the basic Verdera cabinet doesn’t have a mirror on the inside of the door! Shelves were only 12″ for a 15″ unit. And one shelf was shattered. Going back and shopping somewhere else entirely. Really annoyed that Kohler was coy, at best, about the details. That is, photos made so one can’t see the entire inside of the various models for example. The only good videos or photos were of the most expensive models. This held true no matter where we looked here at Amazon or elsewhere.

This fit our needs perfectly- it is extremely heavy duty and looks very high end with the clear glass shelves and added mirrors on the inside of the door and the back of the cabinet. It has become the focal point of our bathroom renovation! I purchased the soft-close hinges in place of the hinges it comes with- so glad I did, the kids and husband are more gentle with the door. Our cabinet is not recessed, the few inches it adds hanging on the wall is minimal compared to how much storage it provides.
