I wouldn’t use the word sturdy for this. The MDF is super thin. I doubt it would hold the weight claimed. Definitely isn’t durable. The return process is different then Amazons, and an expensive hassle.

I was worried after purchasing bc I read some not so stellar reviews but honestly? It fits my dining room well (,live in a townhouse that has adjoining living room and dining room.This fits my dining area perfectly.It was easy to assemble and it’s very sturdy. I also enjoy having the basket underneath the bench, for some extra storage.

Do not purchase
The coating on the table peels off and has since basically the first day. Every time I wipe down the table, the cloth gets snagged and then more peeling comes off. The seller was of no help for this issue and I would not recommend purchasing from them. I’ve purchased a lot of products from them in the past and will not be purchasing anymore going forward.

I really liked that it did fit in the size of my dining room
I had one screw that was longer than the others and it went through the seat.But the company did send me a replacement seat.

Great small dining table set
Seating 6 at thus table to eat might be a bit much especially for adults, but the kids love this table. Although it looks like solid wood it’s worth noting it does have a plastic textured coating on top. This actually makes it way more durable for any spills and easier to clean however, so I’m okay with that.It seems very sturdy once it’s all together as well amd the table is a bit heavier than you would think too.
