Exactly what I hoped it would be
Using it for a few weeks now on fairly deep carpet/underpad. Have a standard office chair with 5 plastic wheels. The glass is clear, came well packaged and damage free, chair rolls easily and freely, and no scratches or stains so far. Size is good. Once you get over the fear of stepping on a corner or the edge and having it break (it doesn’t), it’s all good. Only two negative thoughts so far – it’s cold on bare feet (duh) and it does slide a tiny amount – adjust it maybe once a week or less. Overall much better than a plastic mat and worth the premium price.

The glass shattered one night for no reason. No one was in the room and the only thing on it was the chair. Took over an hour to clean up all the glass. I did get a refund but had to dispose of about 30lbs of glass.

After years of trying various plastic chair mats I finally decided to spend the money on the perfect glass floor mat. This mat is fantastic. Itâs crystal clear and âsmooth as glass â . My chair glides across it so easily. The old plastic mats would dent because it was on a carpet and that prevented the chair from moving.

Mat feels very sturdy – I have it on thick carpeting and there are no issues so far. Chair rolls nice and smooth.with myself + computer chair there is probably about 300 lbs of weight, there are no issues at all.

Love this chair mat. Just love it. It is as good or better than a similar brand that is doing a lot of advertisting and is more than double the cost of this mat. Looks great. I get lots of complaints on it – many people have never heard of a glass chair mat and are impressed by the look. I like the solid feel and that I want have to ever buy another plastic mat that only lasts a year or two.

I spend a lot of time at my home desk. I’ve used this mat almost daily for 2-1/2 years. It looks like the day I got it! I’m 300 pounds with a big office chair for large people. Before this, I don’t know how many plastic mats I bought that eventually cracked or developed dents and I threw away, even as I bought thicker and thicker plastic mats. I saved money by buying this mat. It does shift slightly, but I’ve never had a mat that I didn’t have to move back in place now and then. I was careful at first to not glide over the edges as they warned that you could damage the edges. I don’t worry about that anymore (although I don’t deliberately slide back and forth across them). I’m clean, but not a clean freak, and still the mat shines and reflects light beautifully. There’s no scuff marks or scratches. I couldn’t be happier. I highly, highly recommend this mat.

I am now, officially, the office to envy! The glass mat is fantastic. Only fractionally smaller than the awful plastic mat it replaced, the crystal clear surface makes the space under my chair really zing. When I purchased my office chair about a year ago, I replaced the OEM wheels with roller-blade casters and, coupled with the smooth as silk glass mat, you couldn’t ask for anything better. Big savings over the “radio-advertised” brand. The shipping carton, however looked like FedEx didn’t really care that the contents were glass, and one of the short-side styrofoam protectors was actually out of place, but the tempered glass did just fine despite the rough handling. Highly recommended.

Extremely dangerous product. I purchased a “Glaciermat Reinforced Glass Executive Chair Mat 40″ x 53″ for Hard Floors and All Pile Carpets” from Amazon on 6 Sept 2021. When it arrived, it was properly placed on a hardwood floor and used with a lightweight desk chair. Last night 4/23 / 2023the Glaciermat spontaneously shattered into thousands of pieces. I could discern no cause for this reaction–nothing fell on the glass or collided with it. The glass shattered while I was asleep upstairs and the explosion woke me up.Of grave concern to me is the fact that my five year old grandson was standing on the glass, barefoot, just four hours before. He would have sustained horrific injuries had this mysterious event occurred with him standing on it.I noticed today on the Amazon reviews that similar explosions have occurred with your products.While the product is no longer under “warranty,” this is what I expect: First, a complete refund ($306.61), or replacement for the product. Second, a written or email response that explains how this explosion occurred and what your company is doing to remedy future issues. You must understand that my grandson could have been seriously injured by your product resulting no doubt from the way it was manufactured or the materials used. This mat should not have exploded ever, and certainly not 19 months after purchase.

I wanted a smooth rolling chair mat for our ultra plush carpet and this nailed it; however, it is slippery with standard casters, maybe rubber ones would slow it down, also a bit cold in the winter time and it stands out a bit against the carpet.Ended up getting the Cleartex polycarbonate one and it was a good compromise, it blended better with the carpet, chair rolled well and it didn’t divot, also less expensive.
