Got this square tabletop to replace a round one in a corner banquet. Looks great, makes the area more usable and we were able to replace the round top with the square using the existing frame and table legs. A win-win!

The standard card table is 32″x32″ which is too small for my wife’s Mah Jongg group to use during their regular play. I found this restaurant type table top and thought I’d try it out as a card table topper. The top is reversible, dark or light toned wood colored laminate and a good inch thick; it is also very strong, heavy and durable. I simply placed our old card table upside down on top of the side I didn’t want to use, centered the table and attached to the topper with four 1″ screws. It worked like a champ and was a cheaper solution than buying a new, larger card table. Alternatively, you can also buy a pedestal base, but then you have the additional cost I didn’t want. I didn’t give this item 4 stars because it is heavier to haul around and set up, but it works as I intended and saved a few dollars.

great top! first of all it was packaged super nicely with foam on the edges so unlike others I didn’t see any damage. be careful because it is pretty heavy. But this is exactly what I wanted for a DIY kotatsu top I’ll be combining with another table. My plan is to sand the mahogany side and see if I can prime and paint since I wanted a lighter color that wasn’t natural wood, but couldn’t find one. I’ll update my review if things go well… since I didn’t see anyone mention if it was able to be painted. And if not, I decided to just use the black side for the top, so I’m not worried lol!
