This is the second one I bought, in 6 weeks. not sure how long it last , hope it will last for a while! It is Very good machine produce a really good amount of ice , more than I expected. if you have small business and need some ice, I would recommend you need to buy this one, no need to go out buy ice any more. Thumb up

UPDATE: It has been about 2.5 years since I purchased this machine. It has been problematic throughout its life, which has now suddenly ended. I would have expected a longer life for a machine that costs this much. It never did make half as much ice as advertised, either. I am thoroughly disappointed.When the machine arrived, it had a dead solenoid valve and I was unable to contact the company for a replacement so I had to find a replacement online. After that, it worked reasonably well when it was installed in the milk barn. When the weather turned cold, I had to bring the machine indoors and used a five gallon bucket for the drain hose. That’s when I realized that for every gallon of water that became ice, three gallons ended up in the bucket, even with very frequent ice removal. I have it in the utility room, which is not terribly warm and have started turning the machine off during the night so I’m not going out to dump the bucket at all hours of the night. Overall? Meh….

This machine is freaking awesome. The second it was delivered took a couple of hours to install including the trip to the hardware store. Ran new plumbing to where I wanted the machine. Installed a drain as well. Put an in line water filter . The instructions were easy to follow. Honestly this machine is well worth the money. I’d absolutely put this ice machine against one that cost 3 times as much. If your seriously looking to buy a great ice machine don’t look any further.

I purchased this ice maker for our outdoor tiki bar because it was the perfect size for our space and makes clear square cubes (I despise cloudy bullet ice). When the ice maker arrived, my husband unpacked it and put it in it’s spot. When I got home, I opened the ice maker to check it out and noticed the “grill” that makes the cubes was not mounted on the back wall inside the machine. I fought and fought getting it to line up with the screws on the back wall with no luck. Luckily I’m somewhat mechanical and I have a smaller version of this machine in my kitchen so I’m familiar with it and was able to take the top off the machine and get the grill mounted. Someone not mechanical may have the trouble of tech support or having to return the machine. Once fixed and properly hooked up – the machine started making ice immediately and was full in just a few hours! The ice is not as clear and clean (it’s a little cloudy) as I’d like but it’s mostly going to be used in margaritas and smoothies so it’ll be fine. It’s been hooked up and running for a week now and whenever I check, it’s always full of ice and running.

This ice maker makes plenty of ice for us for our pool drinks during the summer months. I believe I will save money not buying ice all summer long. It was easy to setup and it makes ice fast and plenty of it. Great for home use.
