excellent mattress base
This upholstered mattress base is pretty good. It looks great and has a nice color and style to it. It’s easy to assemble, only takes about 15 minutes or so. It’s not super heavy but has a bit of weight to it. Most people can move this on their own. Once setup and installed, it is pretty solid. Should last my daughter many years. I do recommend this.

Better than IKEA!
This BedStory Twin, upholstered platform bed frame is solid, noise-free support for your mattress!
We originally had an IKEA daybed frame in this room, but my daughter wanted to move it into her room. As such, we needed something to replace it. I felt that this frame would suit the room, decided to give it a try, and am glad that we did!
What I like about this frame is that it is solid and noise free. It has great support from end to end and the slats don’t creak, sag, or move around. The slats are held in place by velcro, and have rubber supports on top of the metal framing to prevent any sound from while moving around.
The upholstered parts have enough padding to make it not seem “hard” and the seams are finished very well. It’s also nice that the headboard has 2 height settings to accommodate different mattress thicknesses, or an extra mattress topper. Mine is in the lower setting with an Endy mattress.
The metal framing is sturdy and has plenty of vertical supports to distribute weight evenly and give the mattress lots of support. However, the placement of the supports still offers plenty of space if you want to store things underneath.
The threaded fittings in the frame hold the bolts securely and I didn’t have any trouble aligning any of the parts. Assembly took nearly an hour, but was not complicated.
Now, there are several reasons I feel this is better than what IKEA has to offer, and I tend to really like what I can find in their stores.
1. Pricing is much better on this bed than a comparable looking upholstered bed from IKEA. One that looks very similar sells for $579!!!
2. Build quality is better! Another fabric option from IKEA sells for $249. but has no padding under the fabric, only metal tubing. It looks cheap, and feels cheaper. Also, if you compare the “wood” frame options from IKEA, they are much heavier to move around, and are fragile if you try to shift them too far without disassembling them! I nearly had to take the entire daybed apart to shift it to the next room, and required help to move it. This frame from Bedstory was easy to remove four bolts from the headboard and I was able to lift and slide it by myself, without any problems! It stayed together solidly and did not flex or feel like it was going to bend or break.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this bed frame! If I could make any improvements, it would be to eliminate the legs in the middle of the side of the frame to reduce toe kick hazards. They don’t seem to be in a bad place, but the less hazards there are, the better. I’m also not the greatest fan of the grade of polyester fabric used for the upholstery. However, it is in keeping with the price point. To improve on these two items would likely put it into the $600. range that IKEA sells their IDANÃS frame for. And, that frame really doesn’t look much better! I’d rather come close in appearance for a much better price.

Sturdy, Decent Price, & Stylish
I got this for our sons room (going from nursery to a big boy bedroom) & we wanted something that would fit him, look good with the overall décor of the house, and be within a nice price point.
When we saw this one, we knew that it would fit all the points we were looking for.
The build was very straight forward, the sturdiness is very nice too (doesn’t squeak for us when we lay on it), and it looks fantastic in his new room.

A nice solid twin bed frame with simple upholstery
Iâm in the middle of redoing the guest room and wanted to put in a couple twin beds in place of one Full bed. I gave this bed frame by BedStory a try and very happy with it and how it looks in the space.
What I like most is the headboard. Itâs not very thick and is height adjustable depending on the thickness of your mattress. The fabric is a dark grey and wraps around the sides and end of the frame. The sides come in four pieces, two on each side. The material feels sturdy much like what would be on a sofa.
The construction of the individual sections feel like they took their time and attention to as everything fit nicely together. I had put together other similar frames before and I went rogue on the order of what was in the directions. It took about an hour to fully assemble everything together and the only issue I had was levelling. You can unscrew the round bases at the foot end and really it wasnât an issue. The bed frame has nine footings which helps spread the weight better than say a frame with only four footings.
The wood slats were even and stuck in place well with the velcro. The vertical headboard pattern is very simplistic and looks good in any room. A twin mattress was a perfect fit on the bed frame and I look forward to when I have family and friends around for those overnight or vacation visits.
I canât find any flaws with the bed frame aside from the weight restriction. Itâs rated 600lbs, but I would be more comfortable with maybe a few hundred at best.
Cleaning is best done with a vacuum especially if you have a lot of dust. The height is high enough to store some items underneath and the weight is light enough that you can push or drag the frame around by yourself. Alternatively if you needed to move the bed frame to another room, you could ultimately do it alone by taking off the headboard. The footings have plastic/rubber base to prevent your floors from being scratched but mostly stays in place.
The bed frame came with everything including tools to put it together. It also had three spare screws and I had no issues with stripped screws or uneven pieces. I donât think you can go wrong with this BedStory bed frame, it looks good, assembly was simple yet requires patience and price wise itâs competitive with other bed frames that require assembly.

Easy to assemble, looks amazing!
Got this for my teen daughter. She absolutely loves it. It took us about 30 minutes to assemble together, and everything required was included. Feels very sturdy, and we can move it easily together.
The upholstered headboard is adjustable for different mattress heights by adjusting screws at the back. My daughter likes the higher setting, so she can add extra pillows. My husband and I are considering getting a queen sized for ourselves. For the price you can’t go wrong. The materials are sturdy, good quality, and everything comes together with allankeyes, so if you move often this would be a quick assembly, or disassemble for moving.
