A giant chair mat – just what I wanted
It was really hard to find a chair mat that was large enough for two office chairs. I just didn’t want to put two together and have the divot between them. At just over 6 feet long, this mat works perfectly. It came rolled up and it is polycarbonate, so it will spring out when you cut the plastic off. Take the warning seriously and be careful (and give yourself lots of space) when you open it! When I cut the seal off, it burst open and laid flat right away. Super strong and looks great in my home office.

I am actually pleasantly surprised at how thick this pad is. I was worried i paid top dollar for a product and it was going to be too thin for my heavy chair but this is one heavy duty pad! Excellent quality for carpet!!! The only thing I can say is I am sooo glad I read the warning reviews. The packaging itself comes with warnings for opening so I was prepared or so I thought I was!! LOL that thing bursted open so fast and with so much force that it would 100% knock someone out! You really need to make sure you open this with nothing around you and it laying on the floor and quickly moving out of the way. Despite the near death experience (LOL) Iâm so happy with this and recommend this product.

Excellent product, lies flat, doesn’t move around, no wear showing
This is a large chair desk mat and fills all the requirements of a mat used every day for hours. Very pleased…but do be careful opening it when you cut the wrap…it has a lot of strength in its spring when it unfolds…two person job but only takes a few seconds…one cuts, one holds.

Chair Mat, good but read this!
This mat is very strong, does not leave chair dents and I can roll on it very easily. I would have preferred that it would stay put, because it does move on the carpet, even if you rest a desk or something on it. The reason…it is flat and rigid and tends to rest on the carpet on the edges. The carpet underneath is 6 yrs old, but like all carpet it will flatten a little as time goes. So you end up with a very small gap of air between the chair mat and the carpet…except on the edges. So here is the thing, you need to decide if you want a rigid strong chair mat, easy to roll than can move somewhat, or a PVC floor mat that will bend & follow with the carpet contour and leave indents from the wheels. Which is most important because you can’t have it both ways. I chose to keep mine rather than go back to PVC. I think this will last longer as well. You need to decide for you what is best!

Not very durable for long term use on any type of carpet.
1 year in and the mat is cracking is a dozen places. Until the cracks appeared, there were no concerns. The mat is sturdy, good size, and feels like it’s built well.But if you’re working form home, and putting some series hours in, this mat will not be long lasting. I have it on very low pile carpet, I’m on my chair off an on for 12 hours per day. 220Lbs male.For the cost, I would expect it to last longer.

I’ve had this mat for about a month now and it is exactly what I needed. I sit at my desk at home all day; I weigh about 120 lbs. So far it has been perfect. Holds its position well on the carpet and shows no signs of wear and tear, or cracks. Very happy with my purchase.

I have used several chair mats made with vinyl and tempered glass over the last 30 years and none of them performed or held up like the polycarbonate mats by Floortex. The cheap vinyl ones develop cracks and breakup in maybe three years use and difficult to roll an office chair when used over a carpet because the mat sags under the weight of chair. The tempered glass mat we had developed a coupe of cracks after five years of use. My first Floortex mat I acquired around 2003 is still in great shape and we just got two more for the new offices. True, polycarbonate mats are more expensive than their vinyl counterparts, but in terms of longevity and performance, the higher price tag is easily justifiable.

Even better than those thick, glass-like ones. This is the best floor mat ever. It’s in my craft room, and it takes a lot of abuse! My chair (that I used to think had difficulty rolling) glides easily over the glossy, beautiful surface. I didn’t think I could like a floor mat this much, but every time I go it there, I’m in love with it.

Best mat so far for our high pile carpet, note they have a high and medium pile version, get the right one. It did move around a little on the carpet but never sagged and could move around easily without being slippery, unlike the glass mats which were not only slippery but too cold in winter
