I was pleasantly surprised by this beach mat. I used this to have a place for my photography clients to set up on the beach without getting covered in sand and it was perfect! This mat packs up easily by folding and then placing into the beach bag that is provided. The smaller pieces of sand do easily slip through the mat with only larger pebbles sticking to the top (which aren’t hard to brush away) It feels very durable and it dries up quickly if wet. If you are looking for a comfortable place to sunbathe, I would recommend bringing a beach blanket or towel to place on top of this as the texture can be a little rough. This made my life a lot easier and I plan to use it for all of our beach activities!

Used this rug with our camper at a campground in North Carolina near the beach. The ground was sandy and had ant hills. This rug rocked it! No sand or ants came up from below, and the rain we had on one day went right through it so that the rug was dry on top quickly when the rain stopped. Easy to brush off. Shook it out when we were leaving, but the sad just sort of fell off anyway. Easy to use and clean, and a lovely color, too!

Took one of these to Burningman and was dubious if it would work on he playa dust there as well as the sand it is advertised to tackle. It was great. Another mat nearby got super dusty and did not work as well, but my mat stayed nice and green and all the dust fell right through it. It captured all matter we did not want to leave behind allowing us to pick up the mat and dump the remaining in the trash and take it with us. Will be taking this wherever my trailer goes. Would like to see more colors and patterns!
