In a difficult situation, the loss of work efficiency means your unemployment rate is also rising. This is scary, isn't it?

To avoid any confusion as to the product description herein under review, the actual product description as posted by the seller on his Amazon marketing webpage is: Hbada E2 Desk Chair Ergonomic Office Chair Mesh Desk Chair with Lumbar Support, Recliner Computer Chair, Black.Price-point during this review: $215.00 (less $50 Amazon vendor’s discount coupon).Well, happy to report that it’s a miracle I can finally get to review this item, what with the several frustrating ‘distractions’ I experienced while trying to put this somewhat mechanically complex office chair item into ‘play’.What I first need to divulge (in my attempt to adhere to my sworn vow to be honest, sincere and fully transparent in my numerous reviews as a gold-rated member of Amazon’s Vine Voice reviewer program) is the fact I actually came so close to giving up and ‘trashing’ this item owing to what I perceived as poor user manual assembly and operation instructions, followed up by the further indignity of ‘suffering the consequence’ of ending up with a non-fully functional chair product on my hands (after devoting so much ‘set-up’ time to it).By way of a further explanation, I ordered this item currently under my review, as part of an ongoing effort to find the ultimate, consummate and quintessential specimen of an office desk chair. In all due fairness to the seller, I actually found the assembly instructions ‘do-able’ after much perseverance on my behalf. However, one of the most important mechanical components in its makeup simply wouldn’t function when I finally finished the assembly process – – that being the pneumatic ‘gas-lift’ vertical seat movement feature (as in the seat level not moving up and down at the user’s command).I was so ‘burnt-out’ after the arduous and lengthy assembly procedure that the last thing I needed was to have the perception a major component was defective. I contacted the manufacturing company through both Amazon protocol and the company’s own customer service website/e-mail contact info channels. Furthermore, I did so on numerous occasions and ‘drew a total blank’ response in return for my additional efforts to ‘resurrect’ this rather pricey chair item from the ‘scrap heap’. That aspect – – re the supposed all important after-sale customer support – – certainly didn’t garner any laudatory kudos from me (so buyer beware on that one). After ‘stepping-back’ for a couple of days, I realized that this handsome-looking chair was all too impressive in its physical presence in my home’s office – – albeit the fact it was of little use to me without the vertical height adjustment feature. But alas, my stubborn resolve pushed me into investing some extra effort to analyze what might be causing the problem – – and alas, I eventually resolved the issue by virtually totally disassembling the chair, piece-by-piece, until I finally exposed the cause of my woeful experience with it.The reason I had so much difficulty came from a bit of my ‘blind-like’ oversight and hasty conclusion that this chair was a ‘dud’ (over a detail which I admit I missed and which I ‘own-up-to’) and a ‘write-off’ candidate. But the real ‘kicker’ IMO is the poor diagramming and explanation(s) of how the chair-lift function operates on the part of the manufacturer – – hence my disdain for the instructional ambiguity that denied me any reasonable chance at full use-ability at the outset. But, all is ‘forgiven’ now as this chair has turned out to be a very comfortable, practical and functional addition to my office furnishings. I’m proud I ultimately arrived at a successful ‘common-sensical’ and deductive conclusion on my own. This one is the culmination of many such office desk chairs I’ve previously sourced on Amazon, and I have a hunch I’ll be sticking with it for a while. It offers more useful features than any of the other chair iterations I’ve tried and its comfort-level is quite high – – something that after my initial introduction to this product, I never thought I’d ever be exclaiming.

This is replacing my old and not so ergonomic chair. The chair has a good amount of weight to it, and the box it came in was decently heavy. While everything was packed properly, the main backing is pretty much edge to edge in the box. There’s no extra padding/foam in case the box gets damaged during transport. But otherwise everything was packed well and looked spotless. This chair is pretty good quality. You can tell right away from the legs that are metal and the chrome has zero blemishes. The rest of the chair is plastic or mesh. Assembly is easy and you’re provided with the allen wrench that is needed for all the screws. The instructions are in multiple languages and they are very easy to follow. The screws are lettered and easy to tell from the instructions where they go. Everything can be done by one person, but you’ll need to get creative when trying to install the armrests and the back. But I had no issues. One area that I felt the screws weren’t a good fit were the armrests. They seemed to be too small for one of the holes. Everything is in tight but that’s the one I feel much come loose down the road.Comfort wise the cushion is firm with a decent amount of give. I like that it adjusts forward, especially if you have longer legs. I’m not sure how I would use the foot/leg rest properly, it might work better for shorter folks. The recline is plenty for my day to day use for working from home. The armrests are a bit harder than I’d like and they only adjust up as down, not outward/inward. The lumbar support is nice and i don’t have to use all additional one. The mesh feels strong and should hold up in longer use. The height adjustment is fine, but the operation is not standard. You hit the lever up to both raise AND lower, so that’s a bit weird.Overall this is a decent office chair that has good comfort with sound minor things that prevent it from being stellar.

The pros; It was extremely easy to assemble and it is solid. Unlike all my other office chairs, this one does not rock at all between the seat and base. All the others I’ve ordered sit wonky at seem loose at that junction but this one is very solid and secure feeling. The seat pivots very smoothly, the hardware is heavy duty and the plate that attached to the seat and back is much thicker and seems made of better metal than in previous chairs I’ve bought. I love the option of adjusting the height of the arm rests, because I am using it in an art studio and I can lower the arm rests enough for them to completely get out of my way. Being able to adjust how far out the seat extends is nice too. I am 5’4″ tall and the head rest range is perfect for me. I do think it could be too low for folks taller than perhaps 5’7″ or so. Adjusting the recline positions is very easy too. I will confess that I’m still getting used to all the different ways to work this chair and most times I’m trying to change the recline and I actually bring the height of the chair all the way down instead. Sadly the controls confuse me still! The leg rest is probably going to be too short for just about everyone. I am 5’4″ tall and when it is fully extended my lower calves are what rest on it. However it has a zippered, removable cover for laundering which my other chairs don’t have. If I am sitting at the computer watching videos, the reclined position and the extended foot rest are super comfy. Cons; I wish the lumbar support piece was placed higher. It sits very low on the small of my back and after I added a gel seat cushion, the lumbar part hits me at the hip bones if sitting up and not inclined to the fullest. The “adjustability” of the lumbar piece is due to it being on a pair of springs at the back of the seat – it isn’t manually adjustable. Also the seat cushion isn’t comfortable enough in my opinion to sit in for hours at a time, hence my use of an additional gel cushion – which brings about issues with where I contact the lumbar support. Other than the lumbar placement and the seat cushion, I love the chair. Placing a small narrow pillow behind my back has helped tremendously in giving me more lumbar support.

3 stars for people over 5’5″, don’t buy it, 4 stars for shorter people. The chair is nice and heavy duty. The base is hefty and solid. The arms are adjustable. The lumbar support is stationary which is probably OK for most people. The chair pad itself adjusts forward and backward which I’ve not seen in a chair before. That feature didn’t help it work any better for me. The chair pad isn’t quite padded enough for me to like sitting in it for a day. I weigh just over 200lbs and found it too firm. If you weigh less than I do, it will be adequate. The biggest problem, which is a deal breaker for me, is the headrest. It is too low even on it’s highest setting so I can’t sit in the chair while the headrest is attached. At its highest, it still pushes into my upper back more than my neck. I can’t use this. It might be an amazing chair for someone smaller than me. Everyone in my house is 5’9″ or taller.Assembly was easy. In fact, it was pleasant. All the screw holes lined up. The tools functioned perfectly. Everything went together intuitively. This was a great chair to assemble and used great quality components. I just wish it was designed for someone a little taller.I still gave it 4 stars in hopes other smaller people can still enjoy it. It really is only the headrest that is the problem. The headrest is screwed on. I have removed it and the chair is a lot better. I still feel oversized in it because the lumbar support is really low. It is just designed for smaller people than me.

The Hbada E2 Office Chair is an exceptional choice for anyone seeking both comfort and support during long work hours. Personally, I found this ergonomic chair to be extremely comfortable, thanks in large part to its high double back lumbar support, which significantly reduces back strain during prolonged periods of sitting.
