REVISED Bought 2. At first couldn’t unfold, but FINALLY managed with WD40 and perseverance
Bought as extra chairs for large parties. Attractive, well-made, sturdy, upholstered seat cover, co-ordinate with my other chairs. Initially followed the instructions AND watched the You-tubes on how to set them up but the mechanisms seemed to be jammed. I finally managed (with brute force) to set one up–lots of metal-on-metal squealing sounds (same when folding up). As a last resort I used WD 40 on all the joints (taking care not to get it on the upholstery). One chair I can now set up as shown in the demo, the other I still use a modified method (which I’ve photographed so I won’t forget!)

These chairs are great. They look great, easy to fold and store, and comfortable with an easy to wipe seat. I got these with the table and could not be happier! High quality, real wood and not manufactured wood. Elegant looking! Highly recommend

We’re pleasantly surprised by these folding chairs. Folded, they do take a bit more space than the typical folding chair, but their looks, comfort, and sturdiness more than make up for this. They are a little smaller than our regular dining chairs and do not really match our existing set, but they comfortably fit a typical adult. They do not feel wobbly or unstable at all. Amazingly, someone unknowing is unlikely to identify them as folding chairs; “extra” chairs, sure, but not as the folding variety. They are sturdy – they take a modicum of deliberate force to open and are not light or cheap feeling. These are actual wooden chairs with a clever hinge mechanism that allows them to fold. Whether they are opened or folded, they WILL remain in that position until you deliberately change it.

These folding chairs are excellent, very sturdy and look great. My guests couldn’t even tell they were folding chairs. Storage when they aren’t in use is a little tricky. They are curved when folded up so they can’t lean against a wall without falling. Overall though I love them!

I purchased these chairs as a replacement to 1 broken chair to my dining room table. Leather is good and the wood to the chair is pretty durable. I have had these chairs for a few years and ordered a second set for additional seating at my dining room table. Chairs are going on 3 years thus far and they have held up. The wood backing is great support to the back. Convenient with folding option to put away when not in use. Chairs are as featured on photo on-line. Very happy with these chairs!
