the space and the rolling function and the modern style.
It is literally one of the best retail product that I have purchased over the 5 years in my personal and businesses life. I will buy another one within a few months. It is PERFECT for Condo/Apartment situation. I really like the rolling function with the rolls at the bottom. Beautiful file cabinet, but it had a defective lock
The cabinet is well made with smooth sliding drawers and fits under my desk perfectly but the lock is defective, it doesn’t function properly so the drawers wont lock. I’m trying to contact the seller S.P. Richards Company, SMYRNA, GA, 30082 US to see if they will give me a discount or send me another lock to install. if you get one with a good lock you will most likely like it very much

Solid, love the top drawer
I love these so much I ended up buying 4 of them. They come with wheels though I donât use them. Top drawer is awesome storage for smaller items. I love the look of these very solid cabinets. Worth the money.

Good filing cabinet, great extra drawer for stuff.
Good filing cabinet. Drawer is so handy for filing needs like more files, labels, a pen etc. Lock is great too. Donât necessarily like a metal cabinet but the price was right and the drawer is a plus for me. No hunting for the extra needed stuff for filing. Arrived on time and in good condition.

Sturdy enough, but non-locking wheels. Only buy when on sale.
Arrived quickly. Easy to mount the wheels. It’s relatively light-duty metal, but it’ll do the job.A star off for non-locking wheels. I have it on a hardwood floor, and opening or closing a drawer means you need a second hand to hold the cabinet in place, or plan on chasing it around the office. Looks to be a standard bolt pattern, so I may look at swapping in decent rubber locking wheels at some point.Note, I caught it on sale for $140, and at that price it’s quite adequate. But at the “normal” price of $240, it’s definitely not worth it. So another star off for “value” (or lack thereof). Recommend not buying unless you can get it under $150.

Just what I needed
Compact design and I love the extra drawer. Very handy. My office space is in my bedroom and there isn’t much space and this is a perfect fit. It is well made, drawers slide well and the casters were a simple instal. It was well packed for transport. I am very pleased.

Very cheap, flimsy, and poorly made
Truly a terrible filing cabinet. It is very flimsy and cheaply made. The paint scratches extremely easily. Mine came with its frame all bent out of shape at the bottom which needed to be fixed before the wheels were able to fit properly. The wheels also came with no hardware even though the instructions say it should be included but luckily I had screws that fit. Only the top shelves lock (and not really, if you pull hard enough it will open) There are no locks on the wheels so when you go to open a drawer, you pull the whole cabinet out from the wall. And finally, itâs so light and flimsy that if you have a full drawer of files and pull that drawer all the way out, the cabinet will tip over. Do not buy this filing cabinet.

just what I needed
the cabinet is perfect, sturdy and easy to assemble. unfortunately the packaging did not survive the journey and I have a decent dent on the side and middle door. even with this, the drawers operate as expected.

Only assembly is to attach roller casters to bottom. For my application, I took wheels off when I realized that I had a size issue and the bottom of the file is smooth and slid easy. Locks easily. Thin steel but for fifty bucks, what do you want? I bought another one for my wife after this came in and saw it. Black finish so under desk it sort of dissappears. Arrived without a scratch, Styrofoam padding about an inch thick and box is heavy cardboard. If it arrives damaged, the shippers fault, not the manufacturer.Pros: price, drawers have tall sides so you can store stuff in them, not just files. Slides are sturdy. Drawer slides are very sturdy. As you can see I have it loaded and slide open and closed easy and feel very sturdy and solid.Cons: it’s light weight steel, but it’s cheap so that’s not really a con I guess. Otherwise none.Only thing I’d consider doing different is getting one with one file drawer, a thinner center storage drawer and a thicker pencil drawer rather than two file drawers, but that’s my choice.Update: Ordered a second one for the Mrs. and it arrived in perfect condition just like the other one. Both boxes were left on porch without a scratch on them.

Good File Cabinet for the price, function and versatility. Very light, took some time to figure out how to put the wheels in the back of the cabinet. Key comes insides drawer. After installing wheels the drawer moves smooth.The drawer when you lock it, only the middle drawer gets lock. bottom does not lock. This File cabinet is good for home use, but would not recommend it for a business use or public office. The file cabinet has a gap when close and locked that a knife or screw driver can easily be inserted in order to force it open.The File cabinet does not feel heavy duty like the ones on my job where you can easily hit them, stand up on them, try to force it open and nothing will happen, if you try to do that on this Lorell File Cabinet I got the impression that you would easily break it.I would highly recomend this File Cabinet for home only, where you are the only person going into the cabinet for your important documents oand need some level of security.Design looks sexy, wheels work wonderfully, small third Drawer on the top is a plus, light, and most important of all gets the job done.
