We have a pretty massive movie library in our household (10,000+ Blu-rays) and at any given time there are about 300 or so that have been pulled off the shelf for various purposes (to sell, to check information, etc.) and don’t get immediately put back because, well, life gets in the way. For the longest time, those movies would just sit on a table nearby the main shelves as they awaited their restocking/selling/etc. fate. But now, in a manner befitting our personal “library” they have a temporary shelving home of their own on this cart, and it’s kind of fantastic.”Isn’t this an expensive way to procrastinate re-shelving?”Well, if this shelf was just for those movies the answer would be ‘yes, it would definitely be cheaper to just stay up on resehelving stuff” but really this is about holding those 200-300 movies that are awaiting to be sold online. We just got a whole lot of table space back.***Assembly***Okay, I’ll be honest, this wasn’t the smoothest or easiest assembly we’ve ever done, but I’m pleased with the final product. What slows it down is less the mediocre instructions and more the fact that I was doing this one alone and it would have been much easier with two sets of hands just because of how heavy-duty this cart is. I definitely underestimated the weight factor of the frame and consequently there was a bit more struggle at the start of getting stuff to properly align and secure the parts together than on assemblies of other furniture we’ve done.***Finished Product***But I can’t argue with the results. The shelf is solid and sturdy, and while it claims it can only hold 300 pounds I call shenanigans on that. This thing feels like you could load it with huge edition hardcover books of substantial weight, like multiple classic old Encyclopedia sets and it would be just fine.It rolls nicely, even when heavily loaded.***Overall Value***While it’s not the cheapest storage solution at $185 (at the time of review) the wheels and it’s double-sided shelving give it some extra mobility and utility. I realize not a lot of homes may have similar use for this as ours, but considering we use it the same way a library or warehouse might (as a temporary home for things waiting to be sold or restocked) I can safely say it would fill the required niches in those situations.

If you don’t like assembling things, pass this one by or employ someone handy to put this together. Number of pieces to assemble in the three-digit neighborhood and even experienced people may spend more than an hour putting this together. I had my nephew assemble it for me for a price and with his experience doing these kinds of things expected it complete in an hour and he still had some minor things the wheels and the card pocket to put together after two hours.I like the design as some poor cheap furniture I had in the basement was destroyed with a bit of water last year. I replaced those with a combination of plastic and wire bookshelves. This will be a key piece as it can take the place as a large cabinet I had, that held over 400 DVD’s. This should hold that many or more, double sided shelves have 3 levels, the size of a typical DVD should fit around 80 per shelf per side so I can put in as many as 480 DVD’s or a lot of books if space is needed. It holds 350 pounds so even books would be secure. The wheels keep it off the floor so water should not affect it if only an inch or so like I sometimes get on the basement floor. Comes with a pocket for maybe a book list or something, and two bookends in case a couple shelves come up short and you don’t wat the books to fall over. The tilt is proper to keep books from falling forward and since this cart style is typical of many libraries, it holds a lot of books for those who collect and restock the books from the return desk or the reading tables. I did that for a few months at university.Somewhat irrelevant story: I must like to hang around libraries because when I was given the work study (university paid) job as a book shelve person, they said I had to take a test. A new desk clerk was told to administer the test to me before I started to work. I took the test and passed, but the next day the Librarian came and asked me if I had worked at a library before. I said no I had not. She wondered because the book shelving return job test was 10 multiple choice questions. The new desk clerk gave me a 100-question test which was given to new Librarians with a 4-year library science degree. She had taken that test when she got the job at the university. I felt like asking if I did better than she did, but wisely held my tongue. Anyway, this will work at your home to move books around and is solidly build and high quality. It would be nice if they could make it with a few less bolts and connectors. Recommended.

I’m not yet able to assemble this because incorrectly made parts were sent to me. As you can see in the picture, the bolt connectors were installed upside down on the 3 main connector plates. It was easy to contact the company and they responded the next day (a weekend!). They said they would ship out replacement parts and give me shipping details in 10-15 business days – that’s 3 weeks. But, they also said the parts come from overseas and it will take awhile to be delivered. So, 6 weeks? 2 months? In the meantime, it’s pretty much half assembled and taking up a lot of room. But, it’s easier than returning it. Plus, now I have to throw away these 3 wrong parts? That’ll take up room in my garbage can (if they even fit).It does feel very heavy duty, though. I will say that. The box was very heavy.I will update this review once I get the parts and finish assembling this.UPDATE (4/24/24):I received the replacement parts in just 19 days from contacting customer service. Considering the parts came from overseas, this is remarkable. Parts were packed very well.It took me about 45 minutes to finish the assembly and I couldn’t be happier (except for the fact I have to dispose of the 2 wrong parts myself). This cart is very heavy duty, very solid. The wheels are very quiet and roll easy on carpet and hardwood floors. But, be warned, this is a very large cart – it’s over 3 feet long and nearly 4 feet tall. I have no doubt it can hold the 330 pounds in the description.I won’t hesitate to buy a Vevor product in the future. They truly stand behind their products.

This thing is a beast, a rolling metal tank made manifest into a book cart. It weighs about 80lbs and stands over 4 feet and almost 2ft wide when fully assembled. It’s rated to hold up to 330lbs of books which is a lot of books. Still, I feel like the build quality is certainly there to push that figure further but that’s a journey I’ll have to take down the line. At any rate, it comes with all the hardware necessary for assembly, coupled with some extra bits in case you lose a couple of pieces in the process. I had the help of a ratchet screwdriver to cut down on the installation time, but I did take about an hour to finish it by myself. I’ve emptied out one bookcase but I’ve yet to fill out a single side of the cart yet. All in all, I’m quite satisfied with the build quality and large capacity of books it can hold to recommend to others. But be warned, this is a very large furniture so make sure you have the room to accommodate it. After assembling and using it, it’s more like a moving bookcase. And it’s an extra large one at that.
