Comfortable and worth the price
For the price of this futon mattress, you could arguably get the entire futon, frame and all, from Walmart, but I bought this to upgrade from the paper thin garbage that the Walmart futon mattress becomes after a few weeks of use. This one is fantastic, comfortable and even though Iâm using it on a wood queen futon frame, itâs still made my sleep way better.

So disappointing.
I really wanted to like this. After all, it said ‘Made in Canada’ (and I’m Canadian :). Once I unpacked it, it looked really nice and looked exactly like the picture. I followed all directions, and let it breathe fully extended for 48 hours (as opposed to the 24 it required). Then I put it up in sofa mode and had a seat……and was crushed with the weight of my disappointment. It isn’t comfortable OR soft. The moment it gets sat on, it crushes from 6″ (where it started, it never got anywhere near 8) down to a 2″, and I could actually feel the flat frame boards under my behind.Now after 3 months or so of regular use, it starts off around 3″ and collapses down to about an inch and a half. It feels like you are sitting directly on the frame, and instead of helping with my back issues(the reason I went for an 8″ instead of a 6″) it is helping to aggravate them. I guess my 135lb frame is too heavy for it?This is cheap junk, and I so wish I’d never seen it. It’s too late for a return, so I’ll just have to chalk it up as another hard lesson in caveat emptor (Buyer Beware) and search for another replacement. Please avoid my mistake.

Thickness
I would of order two because itâs not thick enough to comfortable sleep on. Had no smell which was fantastic ! No chemical smell what so ever. Overall it was ok, a lot cheaper then other ones out there, wasnât looking to spend more then $100 I do think $65 would of been a more appropriate price for this. Also extremely light weight, not thick and heavy like the original futon mattress my couch came with.

Not As Advertised!!
Awful!! Poor quality, not 8 inch by any means. Wears quickly if used daily. I am on my second mattress. The first wore out in 2 months. The stuffing flattened to less than 4 inches. Amazon sent me a replacement and this second one will be returned. Not sure why this is highly recommended, why I got it, because it is not ideal for daily usage. This will not arrive with a depth of 8 inches. The stuffing is of poor quality.

Comfort!
Itâs nice colour and soft fabric but it needs to be a little thicker in my opinion! We are under 140 lbs so it not that heavy weight and you can feel the springs a bit. Ok for 1-2 nights but not as a permanent bed for someone! Just my â comfortâ opinion!

Not worth the money
Received this mattress for a metal futon but does not look or fit anything like the description!!! Very disappointed . Expensive and a let down.

Very Cheap, Does not work on futon couch
Seems like there are three pieces of loose foam inside cover, top middle bottom, Not bonded together, Does not work on my DHP futon frame, It also seems to big for the frame, Sticks up too high on back. I have two frames. The other one has DHP coil futon which seems to work better. That said the frame with coil futon will not fold back to couch without removing mattress. Above mattress may work as bed but not as a couch and bed

I’m going to still give a 5 stars review but when I measured the futon mattresses I bought (2) they were only 5 1/2″ (ordered 8″)…Amazon gave me a good discount for the mistake and all is well. They still get 5 stars because of quality and comfort of the item. I got it for my kids bunk beds and futon and sometimes I will go lay on their beds and I find it comfortable enough.

I spent extra to get the 8″ mattress, received a 6″ (which is actually 5″ when I measured). Sat on it for a few hours and it squashed down so badly we can already feel the slats of the frame through it (weights of people sitting on it did not exceed 145 pounds). The fabric is cheap synthetic weave and has these harsh, scratchy plastic bits poking out of both sides (presumably to keep the pad secure in the fabric case). Had to put a sheet over it because of that. May come in handy for a random camping trip, but for a daily seat, don’t bother getting this.

The foam is too thin if youâre going to use it on anything other than a flat surface. I really liked the collar and the price but it went on a futon with slats and you could feel the slats in the back and in the seat portion. Had to re-order a different futon mattress from another supplier.
