I can say that this platform bed frame from ZINUS is sturdy, durable and reliable. The assembly was super easy, took me less than an hour to set up by myself. The bed frame has a modern look and it fits perfectly with my room decor. It also provides ample storage space underneath the bed which is a great feature. The slats are well-spaced and provide great support for the mattress. I haven’t noticed any squeaking or creaking even when the kids jump on the bed. I highly recommend this bed frame to anyone who is looking for a good quality and affordable platform bed frame.

Elegant bed frame for a reasonable price
I love this bed frame. I bought a zinus mattress to go with it and it’s fantastic. All the parts are packed in the back of the headboard; I suggest you take them all out before you move it anywhere. Some of the cross supports were packed inside the wood slats (moment of panic when I couldn’t find them). Materials are sturdy and fit together nicely. Lining up the headboard legs and screws was tricky; I did it with a buddy and a headlamp to see the screw holes (the screws have to get through the upholstery before you line them up with the holes) this was the most frustrating part. But after that, assembly was easy. There is a QR code for an assembly video and a great ratcheting Allen tool. We sat on the wooden slats to pop them in perfectly! Sturdy, classy, and great quality.

Absolutely in love with this Bed Frame. After, no joke, around a week of daily searching for King sized frames that fit my budget OR offer my ideal style, I was burn out and stressed. Everything was either, a) very highly priced and not good looking enough to justify it or b) Really cheap and ugly, or just ‘ok’ looking’. I wasn’t fully sold on this Zinus frame either. I thought it was nice, but didn’t expect to be wowed. Furthermore I was worried about US reviews that mentioned Bed Bugs (even though it seemed like a regional warehouse issue).
Well, I’m super glad I pulled the trigger on it. When it arrived I went over it with a fine tooth comb, a blue light and a torch, there was no sign of anything amiss and indeed, not a single flaw. I was blown away with this bed frame. I’ve bought a Queen bed frame at two times this price (in a local store) and it arrived in poor condition, damaged, not as nice as online and with very little slat support. This bed frame is METAL, not wood and the wooden slats it does have are very thick and numerous, they cover the whole base and give amazing support. There’s even sound muffling to stop it squeaking (though you may hear the velcro moving occasionally.
The quality of it is wonderful and in person the headboard doesn’t look like denim (a worry of mine), but has a blue linen look that’s really nice. Assembly is a dream. This is hands down the easiest bed assembly I’ve done and basically impossible to mess up. Simple, clear instructions.
I can’t think of a single negative and would heartily recommend it.

I received this in the full size about a week ago. The FedEx guy actually helped me push it into the front of my apartment which was nice of him, as it was quite heavy; fortunately I never had to lift it. I pushed the large box into the bedroom, cut the cardboard carefully with a scissor blade, lay it on its side and slid out the headboard. Sure enough, on the back there was a sticker saying to unzip it, that everything is inside. After taking stock of what was included, I started assembling the bed. It took me just about an hour or so to assemble. The included Allen ratchet was excellent; I don’t think it explains, but you push the metal part in the middle to the right as you screw in the screw and then push that little metal part to the left to help release the ratchet from the screw. Once I figured this out, assembly was pretty straightforward; you just have to make sure you put in the parts labeled 1 and 2 on the correct sides of the headboard, plus notice that the side boards parts H and I are reversed on the left and right sides.
As for how the bed looks, I think it is beautiful and looks like a more expensive bed. I lay my newly purchased 13″ heavenly Avocado Green with Pillowtop mattress (highest rated in “Consumer Reports”) on it to let it fully expand and in a short while was able to test out the bed. The bed frame was sturdy, even and didn’t squeak when I tried bouncing on the mattress. I can lay my head on the headrest while sitting on the bed, and it feels nice, soft and padded against my head. It just looks like a real grown-up bed with the matching blue soft material on the footboard of the bed as well on the left and right sides in addition to the comfy headboard. I’m very pleased thus far and hope, based on some of the other reviews, that this bed will last for years to come. The Avocado Green people actually recommended, among a few places, that I look at Zinus for a bed frame, and I’m so pleased I found this one.
Also, there’s about 7 inches height of storage space underneath which gives me ample room for some long plastic 6 1/2 inch high Container Store storage on wheels which I had. Plus the headboard, now clear of all the bed parts it came with, can be a good storage spot for things you might want out of sight — just make sure it doesn’t interfere with the feel of the nice comfy padding material. So this is a very functional as well as beautiful piece of furniture, and I highly recommend it.

I ordered it on Prime day, and it said it would be delivered in 1-3 months. I figured since it was such a good deal it would take extra time with all the Prime Day traffic. It was on my doorstep (of my upstairs apartment) in 9 days.
It was such a good deal that I had accepted that there would be some caveats – maybe some of the pieces wouldn’t fit quite right or the color would be off. But it’s perfect. I’ve never put together something so intuitive and well planned. Everything shipped tucked into the headboard, so it was compact and efficient. It was double boxed and individual items were loosely bagged but able to breathe. They send a little ratchet allen wrench that I loved — the ratchet makes a huge difference. It’s not difficult to put together, they even put some of the screws on for you all you have to do is hook on the piece and tighten it. It was like putting together a lincoln log house, you can basically tell how everything goes together just by looking at it, and you don’t have to wonder which screw you need or go searching for pieces. And everything fits together perfectly! The slats have velcro and they’re measured to fit snugly in the frame. It was so satisfying, like an OCD person’s dream. Putting the whole thing together took maybe an hour by myself.
The one thing I would note!!! The brackets that connect to the headboard are not interchangeable, as I thought at first. I put them on the wrong sides at first (left bracket on the right side, vice versa), and just assumed that the holes didn’t line up because of a manufacturing mistake. I just put as many screws as I could get in, and moved on. Then I got everything else together and the slats didn’t fit right. Had to take them off and switch the brackets and then it all fit perfectly. If you think there’s a manufacturing problem, it might just be user error. The directions were written to be simple and easy to read (easier than a lego instruction guide), and they left this detail out, but if I had looked at the pieces a little more closely rather than just giving up I should’ve gotten it.
I love the simple design of this bed and the fact that I didn’t have to buy a boxspring. My mattress fits well and is nicely supported. Love the blue in my bedroom! And I love that I can sit up against the headboard and read a book in bed. This bed was everything I was looking for, plus convenience, for just a nice little price.

I love this bed! I researched a LOT of queen size platform beds on several sites to redecorate my guest room in a mid-century modern style. I was looking at value, quality, size, free shipping and color. I originally wanted white but was not able to meet my criteria. This is a small room, only about 9.5ft wide, with only one wall a bed can be placed. I needed narrower width to have room for 2 nightstands and shorter to have room to walk around. It is only a difference of 2-4 inches but that made a big difference in this room. I chose this bed with the straight legs rather than more common MCM style slanted legs. I didn’t want my elderly parents tripping over the legs if they stuck out any. I kept coming back to this bed and I am so happy I purchased it.
Pros:
• Sooo easy to assemble- see pics. The instructions were easy to follow. One person could probably do it. 2 of us built it in about 45 minutes (stopping to take pictures).
• Light weight- Opened box downstairs and carried pieces upstairs. Once constructed it is light enough to re-center. (w/o mattress)
• Sturdy and slats fit snug with velcro.
• Love the color of heather blue
• Headboard was taller than most; allows plenty of room for taller mattress. (Pictured with OLD mattress)
• Overall dimensions (LxW) smaller than a lot of beds which I needed in this very small room.
Cons:
• The tool provided didn’t work great; recommend allen wrenches and a ratchet.
• The headboard legs are not upholstered to the floor which would have looked nicer. By the time I added bedding and nightstands this didn’t matter.
• Pay attention to the measurements of your space if you would prefer a slightly more substantial bed.
Tips:
• Leave the screws slightly loose so you can adjust the fit of the pieces into each other and so you can fit the slats in at the end. If you tighten first the slats may not all fit between the side pieces. Loosening the screws made it easy to push the slats down into place. Then of course tighten them all.
• No issues as in negative reviews- no bed bugs, no broken pieces, no torn zippers.
Overall this bed was an excellent value, shipped in the timeframe indicated, easy to assemble and looks great. BTW the lamps and nightstands also were purchased through Amazon. Still working on the rug and design elements. I cannot wait to finish decorating this room.
