It’s nice to be so high off the ground. Feels like it really calls for a normal thickness matress.
I bought the twin. The recessed leg is very nice and the base feels very stable. When using my regular foam 2″ Trifold the round bar support for the mattress can be felt when I roll and I’m only 180lbs. The support bars all bend a little and it seems like it would be stressed to failure over time. Without a normal thickness mattress I would not kneel on the bed or even roll over. So I cut up the box and put it under the mattress for support. Doing so gives me confidence in it’s strength before my new mattress comes. For convenience of folding it, I will probably semi-permanently attach some sort of stiff board with zip ties to make the product last longer without worry.
In summery it’s very light and easy to setup. It’s sturdy nice and high. It’s a good price. It’s very quiet on it’s own and seems strong enough to last it’s worth. But for longevity with thin mattresses I would consider from the start reinforcing it with a board to spread out the weight across the mattress support bars.

This was incredibly easy to set up I did it myself in minutes. It gives wonderful under the bed storage room. I love the height. It doesn’t move at all. Supports a very heavy mattress. You will need a separate headboard to give it a finished look.

I’ve had this frame for well over a year at this point, and it’s still fantastic. I’ve moved, and disassembly/reassembly literally takes seconds. Still as sturdy (and COMPLETELY SILENT) as the day I bought it. However! The price has nearly doubled! I purchased this frame at something like $110 taxes in. Now I see it being sold for $200?!?! Do I recommend it? YES! Would I have paid $200? Not a chance. I would be looking at Zinus’ own website, or find some other supplier if the price is this high on Amazon. This frame is awesome, and 100% worth having, but wow, the price doubling is not cool in my opinion.
EDIT: 3 Months After Purchase
Still no issues. Its still solid, it’s still silent. Really glad I bought this frame. I may make a headboard or something when I have more room, but for now it meets all my needs and I love it.
I just put this frame together, and I have to say, the reviews seem accurate so far! It takes 10-15 minutes to assemble by yourself, maybe less if you have a friend to help. Although the legs already have rubber caps, I placed them on rubber glides for extra support on my hardwood floor, and so far it feels sturdy and makes absolutely no noise at all. My only small complaint is that there was no hex key included in the package to help you tighten the bolts holding the two halves of the frame together, but since I have plenty of tools, it was really a non issue for me. There’s plenty of space beneath for storage, and so far I’m very happy with my purchase. Obviously, if I have any troubles, I’ll come back and update this review, but for now, in terms of meeting the product’s claims, value for money, and ease of assembly, I feel this frame deserves the full 5 stars!

Great Bed and Lots of Space
I purchased this bed on sale and Im so far very happy with it. It came earlier than expected which was nice. Very easy to assemble. While I did have some help, I could have done it on my own, it’s that easy to do. Just unfold it and set the legs supports in place. Lots of room underneath for storage boxes if you need it, which gives my tiny space some room now. So far solid, with no squeaks and no movement even though I toss and turn.

I am so please with my purchases from Zinus! This bed frame is so much better in all ways than my old box spring and frame. This Zinus frame is so lightweight and easy to assemble, one person can do it in minutes.
Based upon a slat based support system, it doesn’t sag and won’t break down like a traditional box spring.

Arrived early/easy to assemble
Iâm extremely pleased with this purchase thus far. I received it on Friday but it wasnât due to arrive until Monday…itâs now Sunday evening and I have had two nights sleep on it with my 90lb puppy! We are both very much in love with this frame and the height that it gives us. We feel like royalty! Hahahah! Itâs also very supportive of my memory foam mattress without any pain or discomfort from the metal slats. Thereâs no mattress pushing through the slats or metal in any way and actually feels very solid underneath without the need for a boxspring. The only downfall is the limited space in my suite for my California King so I canât access the sides of the bed to slide larger items in and out underneath my bed. This frame offers a massive amount of storage space with great clearance if you have the space to access the sides of the frame in your room.
Downsized my bed and bought another of these frames and my experience had been great with them.

Bedframe: So much storage!!! I’m downsizing from a full closet, 6 drawer dresser and a cedar chest to half a closet and whatever I can fit under my twin XL bed. I had to do a huge purge, but didn’t get rid as much as I thought I would have to because of all this room under the bed. I’m really happy with this.
I didn’t realize how thick my mattress was tho until I put it on this thing, all together it’s over 30″ tall. I don’t mind the climb too much, however my 12 lb dog barely makes it up…
I am slightly worried about the other reviews that say it broke. One of the braces is slightly crooked, but for 60 bucks and amount of needed storage space, I’ll risk it.
What I would like to take a star off for is how long it took to get here. Once we moved in I needed it asap, but it took over two weeks. I was worried it wasn’t going to get here at all! Or that it was somehow a scam. But I read one of these other reviews that said it took 2 weeks to get to her too, so I calmed down a little. It was really frustrating not only having a mattress on the floor and all my boxes in the living room, but the arrival date changed 3 times. The final time it said it’d get here on the 1st, which it didn’t, when I checked it the next morning, the 2nd, to see if it made a new arrival date it just said “should have arrived on the 1st” Thanks, that’s so much help… It was really irritating. I almost gave up and canceled the order several times to order something else but decided to wait because I really needed it and everything else was twice as much money! The next day I checked it yet again and it said arriving Monday the 5th, which it finally did, 15 business days after ordering.
Bed skirt: The fit is great. I had always fought with my old, standard dust ruffle that covered the whole box spring. Whenever I had to move the bed to make it, it would get messed up and drove me crazy! With this, it just clips onto the edge and doesn’t get scrunched when you slide the bed around! My only long-term concern are the plastic clips and how long they will last. They don’t seem that flimsy and I don’t plan on taking them off ever, but you never know. I hope they last forever because I love this thing. I’m not sure if you can buy replacement clips if they break, but that would be very nice if you could!

I wanted something metal, good aeration, not too low, no squeaks, easy to move, easy to assemble and affordable. Well this ticks all the boxes. It is a solid piece of kit. I am slightly cautious when sitting on and getting off the bed, due to other people reviews but I canât see any bend in the metal rods at all, my mattress isnât sagging or slipping through the gaps.
Iâve had it a good month now and looks no different. It is just me in the bed and I donât move much when Iâm a sleep so canât comment on extra activity.
I would highly recommend. So glad I got it.

King size bed. Metal zinus frame. Added a headboard. Have 18 inches under the bed for storage. Life was great, until I decided to put a regular bedskirt on. It slipped and made the mattress move around too. It was constantly uneven and you could see what we were hiding under the bed. We put up with having to push the bed back up every night for almost a year….. Not anymore! I put this new bedskirt on last night and it was so easy! Looks much better than the ruffled skirts. It does not move or have anything you have to put under the mattress. The clips work perfectly with the Zinus frame. And did I mention that it looks great! Even on all sides, hides the edges of the frame, and hides everything underneath the bed. It does not drag on the floor and has very clean lines. Don’t bother wasting money on other bed skirts if you have the zinus 18″ frame. Just get this one! A few other color choices would be nice, but the white works with my room in grey and white.
