High quality, comfortable ergonomic office chair
Iâm compelled to write a review for this office chair. Iâve been using an older one for years now that had no tension recline and was hard on my lower back. Working from home now required something comfortable for long days. I have used Herman Miller Aeron chairs i offices before and generally liked them. But the price to buy one at $2,000+ just seems crazy to me. They also donât come with headrests which this one does so I gave it a try. Long story short, Iâm very pleased! The woven mesh is comfortable, very supprtive, and breathes so your legs and back never get too hot. For this reason I wanted to avoid foam seating surfaces and it is awesome during warmer months. Even if wearing shorts my skin does not stick to the mesh. This chair came with two types of casters, regular and rollerblade wheels. The rollerblade wheels are excellent! Recline is tension adjustable and goes back 130° Which makes it easy to take a nap in. The headrest is also very comfortable when leaning back. The base is solid cast aluminum, very solid and looks good. Recline has multiple lock points as well.
My only niggle would be the plastic chrome material for the accents, trim and armrest buttons. Itâs not convincing and feels really cheap, but this has no impact to the overall function of the chair. Iâve seen pictures online of this chair that do not have the chrome plastic trim but I could not find any available for purchase in Canada.
Bottom line, this is office chair a winner and I do t feel I couldâve done better for the price.

Great chair, held up well
Love this chair. The lumbar hump keeps my disc from spazzing out. The mesh is comfortable and in the hot summer keeps things from getting sticky. I had concerns that the seat pan edge might fray, but in two years that hasnt happened.
Only negative is the casters are so wide they dont like to swivel on carpet but you get used to it and adapt. For four hundred bucks its good value.

Comfortable once you get used to it
This has been a tough item to review but let’s get the easy things out of the way first.
Assembly is easy and straightforward. The construction is sturdy and should last a long time.
I got this chair as a replacement for my IKEA Markus office chair that also has a mesh back but was giving me some shoulder pain.
Also, the switch to the Nouhaus chair happened right after moving into my new house, so stress of moving and carrying heavy boxes could have been a factor.
The first couple of days, the comfort was amazing and I thought this is the best chair ever. Than all that changed the second week for some reason where I started to develop severe mid-back pain and had to switch back to my previous chair.
After a few days, the pain was gone and I tried the Ergo3D again – mind you, all this is during moving into a new house.
This time the comfort was back and I haven’t felt any pain since, making this now my default chair for working from home.
Is it perfect though? Not quite. There are a few things that could be better. I am around 6’4″ and the chair is barely high enough for me. My legs are fine and at the right (pun intended) angle but the head rest is too low to be really useful in a work setting. Being able to pull it up maybe 2-3 extra inches would make a world of difference for tall people.
It’s also a shame that you can not lock the back in place but have to work with the adjustable resistance instead. It’s not a total deal break as you can set it up to be pretty stiff.
Lumbar support is great and at the right height and resistance for me. The adjustable arm rests have come in really handy with the height of my desk.
And as other have said, the blade wheels are amazing on wooden floor. Absolutely quiet and (almost) to easy to move around. Actually, come to think of it, being able to lock them would be a great feature to add.

BREATHABLE, supportive and sturdy
I’m really enjoying the new chair. Typically office chairs overhead over long periods of time becoming uncomfortable to sit for extended periods of time. The mesh allows airflow below your butt and thighs allowing heat to dissipate effectively. As another user pointed out, the skateboarding wheels are really cool and grip the ground much better when compared to traditional computer chair wheels. The ergonomic shape of the chair is supportive and study. Very satisfied with the purchase so far. The armrests are hard on the elbows (easily fixed by attaching memory foam armrest covers). One part of the assembly was tricky when attaching the base of the chair with the backrest (it’s a bit chair and was challenging to balance). Hopefully, it will last for a long time to come.

Exceptionally comfortable chair, mediocre arm wrests, and abysmal product warranty
I bought an open box model on amazon, it came with a dinged up box but inside looked ( as usual with open box ) like it was unopened and unassembled. Chair went together quickly and has been great since…
That is with one big exception. The control arm to lock and unlock the back stopped working a week ago and when I contacted product support about a ~5 month old chair they told me there is zero coverage for anything “used”, even when it’s inside the original warranty period.
The older chair i have is from the early 90’s, still sitting quietly in the corner of the room. It’s probably older than the average person reading this review, and the raise/lower/tilt mechanism still works flawlessly.
Two concerning things here, A: the product stops working in months when it isn’t that hard to make a tilt lock mechanism that works for almost 30 years, and B: the lack of any warranty to cover the product.
If they’re that “proud” of their product you should stay far away.

I have probably helped sell at least 4 of these chairs between family and friends. Whether it was someone seeing it in my office or me talking about what a great chair it is. The 4D armrest is top notch. You can get into a comfortable position at any task (upright or reclined). The mesh keeps you cool and is very sturdy. The main structure of the chair is robust. The blade wheels also slide perfectly even on carpet by itself. I did have a warranty issue at one point. They company stood by their product and replaced the part within a reasonable time. The issue was after one year and they still took care of me. Great chairs are hard to find and this one is worth the money!

So far I am so glad I spent a little more than what I first intended. I found a great deal on this chair, but it was still more expensive than my initial price range. The look, quality, and comfort of this chair seem to be well worth it so far.
I want to give extra credit and appreciation that the delivery of the chair was sooner than expected and early in the day. I was so ready to replace my old office chair.
I wanted a chair that would support my back and the chair back has the lumbar support in the right place for me. I also wanted a chair that would give me comfort when sitting for long hours. My butt felt so good, as I settled into the seat. I didn’t want a large, cushy, leather chair, but more of a working office chair. I wanted a chair that would hold up over time and not have cushioning or material that would easily breakdown over time.
My old office chair had the vented material for the back, but not the seat. I liked the venting on the back and felt that a vented seat would be good also. I never liked how seat padding seams to wear down over time. I had already added additional padded cushion to the old chair. I think that the seat on the new chair should hold up. We will see.
I like that the chair back has adjustment so that it can recline and lock in place at a few different positions. It doesn’t go to a full recline, but I don’t want to fall asleep in my chair. The head rest is good for added support when working on the computer for hours. The head rest adjusts up and down, so you can find the best area on your head or neck you want to support. It does not adjust forward, but you can swivel it slightly up or down.
The arm rests adjust up and down, as you would expect. The top also swivels in or out slightly. The arm pads are not soft and cushy. They have cushion, but it is firm. They should hold up over time.
The chair comes with two sets of wheels. You can install the standard caster type wheels or the upgraded blade wheels. I choose to use the blade wheels. They make the chair roll easily on my laminate floor. They are smooth and quiet.
Of course, you have seat height adjustment, as needed. With the blade wheels on, I think the seat height is perfect for me. But I am 5′ 6. I might raise it just a bit. A shorter person would probably want to use the caster wheels.
The instructions are a bit weak on the explanation. I did have to remove a couple things after installing them. The gotchas are that there is an arrow next to the “Front” designation on the seat mechanism. The R/L arm rest designation refers to when the chair is upright and not in the upside down installation position.
The chair was packed in a manageable box and all the parts were packed very well. Many of the parts were packed firmly in foam. The bolts were in a plastic package and they gave you one extra of each size/type.
Overall, I think this is the best working office chair that I have used, both in the office and working from home.

I love this chair. This is my first ergonomic office chair and it is so comfortable and adjustable that I have finally found the perfect fit for me. Thatâs pretty hard considering Iâm 6â2 and weigh 250lbs. I was hesitant to buy something that I had not sat in, but after watching several videos, I decided to pull the plug. All I can say is Iâm very pleasantly surprised. This chair fits me like a glove, but I would not suggest it for someone with a really wide rear end. Iâm a tall guy with a small rear and it just fits me, with maybe 2â of seat left on either side. All in all it is a really great fit, and I sit in it 7-9 hours a day with almost no discomfort. If I feel any soreness, I just lean back and adjust to any one of the other positions this chair allows. Thanks -MH

if the chair didn’t drop on me for no reason id give it a much higher rating but i do not like sitting at my desk and all of a sudden the chair is on the floor and i need to raid it again.
