Frees up space, doesn’t give up much in exchange.
These are only first impressions as I only just installed the platform yesterday. But I am pleased. It frees up a pretty substantial amount of space not having the box spring, which I appreciate both visually (makes the room feel more open) and functionally (makes it much easier to clean under the bed, and can be used for storage).Assembly was relatively painless. I give a lot of credit for them including a ratchet, rather than just the standard Allen wrench, as I found that exceptionally useful. The way the instructions are set-up is unique from my experience, but it worked well enough. All the parts are labelled with numbered stickers, but they don’t identify the part, they identify a specific *location* on the part. You line that up with diagrams in the instructions, e.g. that show a 2 and a 2 locking together. It’s curious that the numbers are not entirely unique, they are duplicated in multiple places on multiple parts, but with some light deduction you can figure it out. There aren’t that many parts to get confused with, and the shapes are sufficiently different.It is a bit confusing that the instructions have letter identifiers for each part, but the parts are not labeled with those letters. You’d have to look at the manual and figure out which letter is which part based on shape, but this is redundant since you can also just look a the shape of the part in the assembly diagrams. Anyways it sorts itself if you take your time. The parts fit together snugly and I have confidence in the strength and stability of the platform.There is adhesive on some the support beams to prevent the mattress from slipping around. That is useful, because otherwise there would not be a lot of friction between the mattress and the metal platform. Though this does make it more challenging to get the mattress in place. It might be easier if you had someone helping you to gently lay the mattress in the specific correct position (as opposed to me, working alone, flopping it onto the platform and then needing to fight the adhesive to adjust it to the correct position).I am happy to be freed of my decade-old box spring, and to have replaced it with something more space-efficient and durable. My cat ripped off the fabric covering the bottom, and amidst the wooden beams and springs discovered an exciting jungle gym for him to bounce around in at 4 am.

Space saving, sturdy bed frame that isn’t too heavy
I bought the full-sized bed frame in order to make due with the existing full-sized mattress that I was handed down. At first I worried if this would be big enough for myself and my girlfriend who comes over from time to time.The good news is that measurements might be one thing, but in practice for regular sized people, it’s definitely enough to fit two comfortably.The bed frame itself is not heavy, even when assembled it’s easy to lift it and reposition it elsewhere, so if you’re a female and are afraid it might be too much weight to lug around I hope this sets your mind at ease.Yes. This bed does have minimal creaking if you shift around directly against it, but that can be fixed by tightening up the bolts underneath. Even if you don’t, no it hasn’t creaked with every single move I make.The installation mostly went smoothly except for two areas, the cheap ratchet wrench that’s provided to you, and installing the middle lateral struts. You’ll find the middle struts to seem like it’s way too big to fit, but what you have to do is pull against the sides of the frame, and then the strut can be slapped right in. You might find your ratchet wrench might break, like mine did. Don’t give up on it immediately. Push your thumb against the tab and keep on ratcheting it, you just might be able to get through to the end like I did. It might be wise to have another ratchet wrench or a wrench handy for back up though.One thing about this bed is that you’ll have to be conscious of where the legs are. It’s easy to kick into it by accident when you’re not paying attention. It’s a sturdy bed, so it’ll hurt!All in all. I’d say this product is definitely good for university students, and people living on their own that doesn’t want something too fancy but still has a presentable vibe. It’ll definitely be a product that you can disassemble and bring with you when you move. It’ll last, so treat it well.

La base es “facil” de armar aun para una sola persona. No hace ruido pese a ser de este material uno pensaria que rechinaria o haria algun ruido.tiene dos factores que no le favorecen, ambos desde mi perspectiva personal , una por error mio y la otra es bastante ambigua.la base es tan ligera, que hace que toda la cama se mueva con facilidad, lo cual puede ayudar para la limpieza o entorpecer el uso si la cama se pega a una pared.y la segunda , error mio, pedi modelo queen para una cama matrimonial y sobra muchisimo espacio en la base, fijense bien en eso antes de pedirla.como referencia, peso 100 kilos y la base soporta sin problemas
